I am currently making an ebay program that is going to have a ton of features. Not sure what part of the forum to put this but what kind of features should I put, and how much would this be worth. So far the main things I have are
When an item is sold, there should be a table in which the buyer's address, item title, item picture, price sold for, quantity sold, buyer's telephone number, buyer's email should be mentioned. Because right now, when you want to process my orders. First I have to open the sales order page, then go to item link and open it to see which item sold, then I will have to grab the buyers address and paste all the info to excel format.
SOLUTION
Pull everything together, show in one page, database, column with shipped items highlighted in green and unshipped highlighted in red.
Furthermore, remember. When selling on eBay. Suppose a product let's name it ' Wallet ' costs us $20 in pakistan, we sell it on eBay for $40.00. eBay will take a commission to market on their website of atleast 10%. This commissions or Fee amount is showed in the eBay>My Account>Seller Account section for each item number, the fees is shown separately.
When we are selling, we will also charge certain sum for shipping and postage, let's say $5.00, eBay will also charge a commission on this $5.00, which would be about 10%, so let's say $0.50, these commissions are known as Final Value Fee and Final Value Fee on Shipping in eBay terms.
So let's assume, we bought for $20.00, we sold for $40.00, we charged $5.00 for shipping from customers.
So our total income is $45.00, our total cost is $20.00 + 10% on $45.00 = $4.50 + $5.00 ( Postage Cost ) = 29.50 is our total cost, so our revenue is $45 - $29.50 = $15.50
Now eBay system is complicated, it doesn't allow eBay sellers anywhere in their software to fill in the cost. So if I am a seller, I have to make a table on MS EXCEL, I will have to write my income, then write my cost of product, then of shipment, then I have to go open up sellers account and find out final value fee ( Commission ), its a very lengthy process and when you are selling 100s of items a month. You just simply do not have the time and energy to properly grab all the information. So end result is we do not know our profit or loss.
SOLUTION
Have this information all pulled together and figured out by the program.
Random stuff
create a speaking avatar for your ebay listing. Options include letting you use your own photo and record your own voice or use text-to-speech.
add video moving text. slideshows, and more to an ebay listing page.
So basically collect all the information needed, figure out profit loss, and lastly I think letting the program add timed auctions when you want them to. Is there any other feature that would be good? Would this be worth/ would you be willing to pay, $30 a month.
Are there any more features that are needed? The program now is almost built and I will need beta testers soon.
