Can anyone actually prove that pdfs are against Ebay TOS? Please show evidence or link directly to ebay where they clearly state this.
Does this only apply to PDFs or to all digital goods such as jpgs (pics), doc (notes), zip files, exe files, etc.
I've heard for years both sides and people sell digital goods all the time and haven't been suspended and some have. I think if you sell it low volume
and only do it once in a while, you'll be ok, but if you are selling high volume and that's all you sell, you'll probably get into trouble.
I remember a while back I used to sell a lot of photos such as penny auctions or recipes but I only did about 50 or so over a span of a couple months and had no issues.
But I have noticed there are lot less now when I search, but people are still selling digital goods.
The fact is, Ebay can do whatever they want, move the goal posts and make up any rule they want to make up. They are in a way one giant legit scam company that has a lot of legit sales and business, but they also have a ton of wrongdoings and the average joe can't do anything about it even though ebay screwed them.
We can't call the cops on ebay, you can't take them to court unless you pay hundreds of thousands of your own dollars to amass some sort of lawsuit but nobody is going to sacrifice their time and money over some $50 scam ebay screwed you over.
I just got scammed by ebay today. I delivered a $20 product to the buyer with full tracking and it was signed and confirmed delivered in just 3 days shipping.
The buyer opened a case claiming they didn't receive their package. I let the buyer escalate it knowing I was 100% in the right and would win.
Ebay closed the case about 1 hour later and favored the buyer, took money out from my account and gave it back to the buyer and the reason given was:
"you did not provide valid proof of delivery". I have the tracking number, confirmed delivered and it was signed! Of course I am appealing this to ebay because
probably some idiot manual reviewer didn't bother to look up the tracking information I provided and just decided to close it in favor of the buyer.
See what I mean? It's a scam, but I've been with ebay since 2003. I make some profits and I get scammed by ebay sometimes, too, but what I can do about it?
Nothing. Can't call the cops, can't take them to court even though ebay could just steal money from you no matter what you say or do and provide evidence.
Injustice exists everywhere and you just have to find a way to get what you can in life.....
