Ebay Money Laundering ?

Hi guys/girls, i'm a new seller on ebay and i was checking out other sellers and found this interesting view, funny thing is those items cost a few 40 bucks and selling for 999 usd in quite some numbers, is it money laundering right there ? what you think ?

The amount sold were most likely for the lower price. No one is buying that stuff for 999. It's just listed like that because they're probably out of stock and don't want to remove the listing
I think you are right. Maybe the seller has edited the price so it appears that the price is $999. It could be true because it seems the items are sold by same buyers. If money laundering is main motive via ebay there is some easier method like list a crap domains and price it $5000 and allow the launders buy it for $5000. It would look all fair and square.
 
Those could be prearranged auctions. Client A buys an inflated product from Client B. Once client B receives the cash through paypal and into this bank account, he then meets up with Client A to deliver the actual goods or sends them via mail.

Not sure if that is the case with this seller but I'm pretty sure such auctions exist on ebay.
