what do you guys focus on most when optimizing an ebay listing?

I've been testing titles, photos and descriptions but its hard to tell which changes actually make a difference.

Photos get the click like @NaughtyByNature said but if Cassini isnt indexing you then nobody even sees them. Item specifics are huge right now. ebay relies so much on structured data for their search filters... if you leave those blank you basically dont exist when buyers filter by size, color or whatever. Also descriptions barely matter for SEO anymore, ebay mostly ignores the raw description text for search ranking. Focus on filling out every single item specific even the optional ones and get your pricing competitive to trigger those early sales to boost your conversion history. Cassini is all about search-to-sale ratio.

Yeah @KimB184 is right about the search-to-sale ratio but you cant really test anything if you dont have traffic to begin with. Best way to actually see what changes make a difference is forcing some quick sales velocity. Run promoted listings standard at a high rate like 12% for a few days just to get those first 5-10 sales, then drop it back to 2% and see where the organic rank lands. Also with titles... put the main search terms in the first 35 characters. Mobile truncates the rest anyway and cassini weighs the front of the title way heavier. If you change too many things at once you will never know what actually triggered the boost.

i’d prioritize the title, item specifics, and the first photo since they usually affect visibility and clicks the most. change one thing at a time and track impressions, click-through rate, and sales so you know what’s actually helping.

Item titles and high-resolution photos carry the most weight for eBay conversions. Focus on filling out item specifics completely, as eBay uses those filters to surface listings in search. Clean white-background images and competitive pricing will drive impressions much faster than detailed long form descriptions. : cool :
