So I have a listing on ebay and it's coming up on the 5th page for my keyword, which is obviously no good. I made sure that i placed my keyword all over my listing and even paid extra for a sub title!

is there any way of ranking higher without being a "top seller"?

Any advice is appreciated

get people to view your auction there is an unspoken rule that if your auction gets over 50-60 visits and you will hit the 1st page for what ever keyword you are using, you can also start your auctions with a .01 penny and you will also get more views it is just depending on what works best for you.
Regards
Suave

It's a buy it now.

so if i get 60 unique visits it should push the item up to the first page? this seems like a very odd criteria and a lot of effort. proxies maybe?

going to have a go now

much appreciated

Do research into ranking theres plenty on google..make it earn the money for you!!

Are you talking about page 5 on Google, or on eBay?

Just making sure this thread isn't an entire /facepalm.

lol at the comment above. I'm saying that google use the thungs around you and you'll find your answer!!

It's on ebay :bryce:

LOL! I was going to help, until this comment.

Hope you figure this brain buster out on your own. It's pretty obvious, but you probably won't get it.

Not so fast! Don't let these comedians get to you.

I'll give you the answer you are looking for:

If you would like to rank higher, here is what you will need to do:

  • Use accurate and appropriate keywords for your search - don't use "!" right after a keyword - it can confuse the eBay search matching.
  • Provide a quality product for a fair price and your Detailed Seller Rating will grow!
  • Grow your feedback
eBay gives priority to trusted sellers with amazing feedback.
  • Sell as much as possible and make sure your listing converts well
That is because: the better your listing converts to a sale the more money you make eBay and the the better they will treat you.
  • This just a brief - read below for more detailed information from the source.
