Ebay limits

ok i will call soon. But last question before i do. What makes them ask for ID and receipts?
I have a Canadian account at which point of the limits they require you to change to business account?

They may ask you personal questions like:

1) Have you been associated with the following addresses?
2) Have you ever owned the following car?
3) Have you been associated with the following corporations?

Those are just some questions that they have access to through public offices.
 
Ok. Usually dont they just ask where you get your products from and stuff?

Ah, I am unfamiliar with a Canadian eBay account, I only use USA eBay account.

But I do not think they'll require you to open a business account.
 
Ok. Last question. What Would make ebay ask for stuff? They asked me last time just where u get your stuff?

eBay asks questions just to confirm everything and make sure you're a "safe" seller and that everything is legit.
 
I called and they LOWERED my selling limits because they thought 1 item i was selling that i dont sell anymore was fake. or raised a suspicion.. next month you can call back and get the limits raised higher..... :smash: the limits didnt lower yet?? I dont know how this happened i have a perfect standing account.
 
Haha, that is upsetting, but that's why it is never wise to call for a limit raise.

1) Calling eBay will never lead to anything good
2) If eBay raises your limit, do not instantly sell a lot of items. It is how they weed out people.
 
Yes I guess.. But nothing has happened yet. Still have my original limit? It's been over 40 mins. If it wasn't for that 1 item he thinks was fake I would of had am increase no problem.
 
Increase your sales, make more stealth accounts.

Last time I called for a limit increase, they restricted my account. :rippedhan
 
He said to me he will be putting a limit on it and decrease the seller limit by half. I called over an hour ago.. Nothing has happened yet??
 
It might happen late on, but if you're lucky it might not happen.

Best thing is to not list that specific item.
 
Yes for sure I won't be listing that item. But it's been over 10 hours now .. Nothing.. Usually isn't it instant when they want to lower your selling limits??
Also another question will I get in trouble getting no name plastic iPhone cases with hockey teams NHL or soccer teams in the back of it ?
 
Never experience lowered selling limits, so I can't answer your question.

Shouldn't be an issue, but then again I never sold something like that.

What do u mean I'm still under 20,000 a year for ebay and Paypal so I don't need it. I'm from Canada aswell..
