you got the wrong link there. It's http://www.ebay.cn which is still active. Not sure what they're doing there exactly since I can't read Chinese. eBay so far has lost in China because Taobao doesn't charge fees. eBay made a colossal mistake of not destroying their parent company Alibaba when eBay acquired 50% stake in GlobalCrossings. Alibaba was a paid B2B service funding Taobao. GlobalCrossing could have easily offered the same service but do it for free. It was kill 3 birds with one stone. That's the problem with a woman CEO. They don't want to kill the competition.
