So I had an item on auction, it was less than 12hrs so I couldnt end it early but ebay let's you end early to the highest bidder at any point in time. So I arranged a deal with an interested buyer to buy the item and told them to just bid real high on the item so they'll be the high bidder and then I'll end it and send him an invoice off of ebay. The buyer agreed and we did this. I thought since the buyer wouldnt pay through ebay that they wouldnt charge me a fvf (I know stupid of me). But ebay still charged me the fvf. Is there a way I can get the fvf credited back to me? I can't open an unpaid item case because that would mess up the buyer's account.

Can you give me more details? how do I do this?

Go to resolution center, open a case saying that you want to cancel the transaction, then choose a reason (buyer is returning the product for refund or any other reason listed there)
Then you need the buyer to agree to cancel the transaction.
