eBay fees are a joke

I think it's like someone mentioned earlier....you need products with a minimum of a 100% markup. I like to find products where I can markup 200% to cover my cost and make relatively decent profit after all fees are taken.

Ebay is a joke. Having your own website selling own products is the best way to go, no limits and fees. I still list on ebay but I just lured the visitors to buy in my site instead in ebay.

Sounds like the way to go, but then I'd have to worry about promotion.

I have to disagree with the '100% profit'. Everyone knows ebay is pretty much saturated.. where are you really gonna find something for $30 that you can sell for $60? I'm dropshipping, so I have no risk. All I need to worry about is ebay fees. And I'm not paying the suppiler till I get paid anyway.

It is common for ebay seller to dropshipping instead of having actual stock in your hand and I reckon almost everyone does. You don't have to sell 30$ item for $60 or sell 1000$ item for 2000$.
You just can't cos ebay buyer will compare price with similar products, but you can find dropshipper that willing to supply 30$ item with the price of 10 or 15 bucks.
If a tshirt normally sell for 20 bucks at ebay, find a tshirt dealer that can supply you with shirt for 5 bucks or less and sell it on ebay for $15.

When i start ebay selling mouse-pad, my gross profit margin was about 20% each. In the first month, I sold about 10 mousepad and two of my customer chargeback on me (slow drop-shipper) thus leaving me with a listing fees to pay and i didn't got any profit.

Ebay fees are a joke, but selling on ebay with small margin is totally non-sense.

ebay is solemnly in the benefit of the buyer and fucks the seller in every way imaginable

I will never sell on Egay again because of how their fees work.

Well it's obviously not. I've been consistently selling 15-20 items a day with $1 profit this last week. I only have 80 items listed, and still got another 200 to do. Could potentially be making $200-300 a week soon.

the fees are fine as long as you aren't operating on razor thin margins

i found this .... items4auction.com egay without the rules, and lisitng fees free for a week, the site just opened , i know the guy who runs it , he is talking about doing 15k UVs to it a week , give it 3-6 months , u will see a great site.

I'm on a verge of quitting ebay due to some eGayers. Had some unjustified feedback in a 6th month period and now lost my powerseller and top rated seller status..Have been doing ebay for almost 4 years, have almost 500 feedbacks..Now without the 20% discount the fees will be a B1T$H..Oh well..

he's not joking about the chargebacks. i have gotten so many recently, and i know the bastards are getting the items

what do u expect , gaypal and e-gay all one big family now. if they cant get u one end they get u the other, and soon they will get u in the middle with more fees.
try items4auction.com its new but no listing fees for a week. and less % on a sale.
