so ive just bought BANS, and i have a pretty endless source of related niches and im completely ready to start working on it.

ive read the chart offered on ebay about the commission per winning bid and per sign up, now

between 0-99 the commission is 50%

lets say the product is $50, i get 50% of what ebay makes off of that product..

so how much would i end up with? i dont know how to calculate this... and a couple of dollars hardly seems worth it :(

any help appreciated, thanks

yea okay, my products will be anywhere from 1k-25k.. kind of a specialty item, is it recommended i sell things like that, or something that people buy loads of? magazines, pokemon cards or anything like that.. basically its selling diamonds vs. selling tissues, would you say this is the right way to go?
or should i stick with the everyday items?

I am a little confused here. The main purpose of BANS is to list other peoples eBay items on a stand alone website and get a commissions from eBay if someone buys something on eBay through your site. You can also get a finders fee if they sign-up for eBay and bid on something. Both of these commissions have time-limited cookies.

Why pay eBay to list and sell your high end products. I would sell some thing cheap or give away something related like a ebook (eBay no longer allows eBooks, it has to be a physical product such as a CD or pamphlet) which then directs them to your website where you make the sale and keep the listing fees and selling fees.

i kno exactly what BANS does, by my products i just meant the products listed on ebay that i would be promoting..

maybe im too possessive :D

who knows...

Just so you are aware, Google very recently deindexed hundreds of BANS sites. Most of the BANS sites were just shells that do nothing more than echo ebay listings.

Be sure to add enough content to add visitor value and you shouldn't suffer the BANS ban syndrome.

Also if you have BANS its best to remove as much of the footprint as you can. For example, rename logo.jpg to something else and so on. Make it your own and then base the stores you create off you main template.

Bans has been good to me so far. Its well worth it, when you get indexed and start getting that organic (free traffic) compared to marketing and paying for adwords or PPC campaigns.

But also you can turn a new site with a PPC campaign into a gold mine if you split test your ads.

Diversify.

Start off with at least five sites. Optimize and promote them. Take your top performers and drive more traffic. Repeat the process. Eventually you'll end up with a solid portfolio.
