Ebay - buyer protection?

Hey!

I had a weird thing going on.
I'm not that well informed about ebay.

Sold headphones - new, fully working, tested before sending
Customer received headphones - started disputing that their bluetooth pairing is not working - either dumb or trying to scam.

Haven't heard from the customer for like ~3 days and then boom - my funds got released.

30 days surely haven't passed so it means that customer must have marked transaction as the 'successful'?

What if I'll cashout my paypal account and buyer will continue disputing about refund?
Can I get minus balance?

if the case has not been decided (in your favor) yet, then yes, if you pull out the funds and then the buyer win and gets the refund, ebay will try to deduct the funds from your paypal.

When this happens, if you're account does not have the proper funds they will try to take the funds from your attatched bank account

If this fails (because you put a hold with ur bank, disconnect the account, also dont have funds in there, etc) then yes you will go negative in your paypal.

Once that happens your paypal will become locked and you will not be able to use it until you pony up the dues (no clue if you get penalty fees or not)

Typically this also triggers ebay to lock/suspend/ban your account as well from what I hear.

May be wrong with parts of this, purely going off hearsay as I've never had this issue myself
