Hi guys! I'm from the UK and used to use ebay.

My eBay has been banned indefinitely after a few negative feedback had occurred in a short space of time.

What are my options for creating a new account please that will not be linked with my old details, so i don't get banned again?

Regards

You should be able to pretty much go in with a company name and make your new account and should not have a problem, if anything just use a friends address and try to have better trading practices. It is always best to have multiple ebay accounts with how much they change policy as well as if you use different niches on Ebay.

Well i was currently about to sell some wholesale products until this happened. If i was to create a new account will they not link the two though? I'm guessing the paypal would flag up as been linked to a previous banned account?

Thanks for your current time it is appreciated!

Why don't you create your own online store? You can try to get back into eBay in the meantime while you start driving traffic to your store. If you want to discuss, you can PM me and we can chat on skype, i Have a couple of magento stores which I have set up and once they are rolling its bigger profits and less ball-busting than eGay.

In all honesty eBay is all i know. I'm not familiar with any other format. I also know ebay gets a huge amount of traffic which items sell faster?? Excuse my ignorance but like i said eBay is all i know :D!

eBay is great to sell stuff fast. You list it, then the next day you can be getting orders.

an ecommerce website is slow and pretty long to build up. you've got to build a brand name, rank it for your keyword, etc.. for my main store, it took me about 1-2 months before I got my first order.

that was about 9-10 months ago, but now i'm getting around 300 visits a day, and about 60 of those are direct traffic, which means people are entering the URL directly to get on the store.

- no ebay fees
- no feedback crap (well.. you might get some negative reviews on 3rd party websites but still, much less of a hassle)
- all the payment methods you want
- all the products you want (no vero crap)
- no competitor listing just under your listing

overall, its more of a long term thing, but its great to be independent from ebay and ultimately google once you make a name for yourself. its another option, and it doesn't cost much to set up. just a suggestion.. its another option :)

I would be also interested in doing this! It cannot hurt to have multiple selling options surely? :)

I'm just confused, how will people come to my store? Who will know about my store? Or is this all through google?

Even though Ebay owns Paypal, they are separate from other, an Ebay CS agent cannot view your paypal info and vice versa, I doubt that ebay has prebuilt in flags regarding your Paypal account, they just want to be able to auto bill your invoices as well as have you accountable for potential chargebacks.

Here are the available options I see from this. I've been banned multiple times because of VeRO and I can say that eGay sucks. But once you get the hang of it it can be easier than you think.

1. Make a stealth using a different IP address, or go buy a stealth account. Many people here sell Business eBay/Paypal accounts for ~$125. Then you would also need a VPS service because when eBay bans you, they ban you through your IP address. Again, VPS services can be found here on BHW. Always make sure you have a Paypal unique to each eBay account. eBay can link you through the information on other accounts. Ex: paypal123 is on ebay account 1. If you also have paypal123 on ebay account 2, you will be limited. Your PayPal should still be able to work outside of eBay though.

2. You can make your own stealth account. Get a VPS (or sign up at a friend's place). You need to sign up for an eBay and PP. So, you will need : a UK address, an AVS accepted card, and all of the other goodies. Basically same process as when you signed up the first time, but this time you will need to be more careful about operating your account.

If your account gets banned, go stealth, or get someone that can help you go stealth. It isn't a big deal if you get banned on eBay; it's just part of the learning process.

Ha! There's a banner ad on this thread that says "Did your eBay...get suspended?" Nice ad targeting, BHW :)

You can go stealth and still sell on eBay without any complications. It is a small learning curve but
once you get used to it then everything is fine.

TWO GUYS WERE ARRESTED USING STEALTH, ebay is starting to fight against stealth users.
