Looking for guidance from active autobloggers on this. I?m just getting into autoblogging and was declined entry into the eBay partner program. I?m wondering how big of a deal this is? is not having an eBay affiliate relationship going to limit me? Or can I get by just fine with Amazon & the other affiliate programs out there?

I'm in the same boat as you. I applied for EPN before I had my website setup and was denied. I thought it was auto approval and didn't think somebody would check my site. I believe you can reapply when you get your site up and running with useful content.

Even if you do not get into eBay, I'm sure you will do just fine with Amazon and other affiliates.

Thanks cnick. I think I made the same mistake of not having my site ready for review when I applied. I am going to get some kinks worked out and try again.

Anyone else have an opinion?

Unless you have loads of highly targeted traffic you are not going to make a cent with ebay or amazon

There was a thread a while back about things to do to get accepted into their program, not sure how much they want new affiliates these days however.

I think a couple were - obviously, have some decent content, don't have any ebay listings or links on your site currently, probably have a terms and privacy page, and maybe have one of their competitors such as amazon on the site (not sure if this would help or hurt.

I think there's a sticky thread in one of these forums about getting accepted into cpa networks, may have useful info for you.
