So I was looking at the method of listing items on ebay that cost less on Amazon, making your listing, and then if you get a sale, dropship the item from Amazon to the buyer, profit from the difference. I had a good item picked, I saw from another seller they were selling, and then ran into a roadblock I could not get the answer to.
What if you don't have enough to buy the item off Amazon without using the ebay buyer's money, because I checked and as someone who hasn't sold much ebay puts restrictions on when you can receive your payment, I think the minimum is 3 days AFTER the buyer receives the item, and other restrictions were as long as 7 days and you can't wait that long to buy and ship. But don't tons of people use this method without spending ANYTHING out of pocket? How can you get around this? You could put the Amazon item on a credit card, but I don't have one.

You will need some "backup" money for that. There is no way to avoid spending a single cent and use the buyer's money. Once you start selling last week's buyers will be covering today's sells, but you are going to need some money for the initial investment.

Well, you could postpone ordering the item until you receive the money, but that won't lead to anything good. And I am pretty sure the wait period is 14 days, not 3 days.

you technically CAN do that with any site where you find a lower price (as long as you trust them), however you must factor in the eBay & paypal fees. I highly doubt you'll get much of a profit margin if any at all.

Additionally, you can't buy items off Amazon with Paypal (as far as I know) and any money made on Amazon will be held for bit.

Also consider what you'd have to do if a customer needs to return an item.

You're going to have to "float" it using a CC or capital. No other way around it. If you want happy customers you have to pay and ship immediately. Paypal put a rolling reserve on our account for 6 months when we were starting out and basically held over $20K of our money due to such a spike in business in such a short amount of time. This is paypal's answer to "fly by night" companies that I actually agree with. They can weed out anyone who is not a legitimate company or does not have the sustainability of one.

You need to see this Thread. Just remember not to offer next day shipping if you have limits. Believe in yourself...
