eBay Account

My dad passed away and had a high limit eBay account and I let someone use it and they didn't pay the bill and now I can't find them. Since my dad passed away is there anything they can do to my mom or me for not paying the balance?

Not directly to your family, but to your father's estate. Whoever is responsible for the estate will also be responsible for the payment. It would be deducted from your father's assets before the inheritance is distributed, if that hasn't already happened. Otherwise, the payment should be made by the exchequer of the estate, which is usually the spouse. You could just write to ebay, provide the death certificate, and say the account was accessed by someone else. They will close the account, though.
