Ebay Account and Paypal?

I've been wanting to create an eBay account for a while now but I'm not sure that its safe to link my paypal to the eBay account because I have a vba linked to my paypal as well as a prepaid debit card. I was planning on using the account for buying only. Also I don't remember the birthday I put on my paypal account (no way to see bday on profile) so will eBay get suspicious when my eBay account has a different dob? Your thoughts/experiences?

I found a way around the date of birth problem. Just buy something on ebay as a guest using paypal, and after you successfully complete the payment, ebay should lead you to a confirmation page where you can create an account if you want. They wont ask you for your DOB there because they just sync the info from paypal.

ebay rarely matches the DOB on your PayPal with the DOB on your new ebay account, so i would say proceed with confidence.
