I've made some landing pages in the past, now I have internet ptsd lol...they didn't work out very well ( and I do not have access to these websites now since it's been so long, so I can't show you).

I was wondering if there is a nice guide on creating effective landing pages? Or are there some free tools out there that I can use to make landing pages (or heck someone who could teach me how to do so, or I could hire to do for me)?

I would like to create landing pages for items on things like Clickbank or OGads, but not limited to those, but some free tools to be able to do it quickly and effectively would be greatly appreciated!

The only effective landing page is one you test, test and test. What works for one niche won't work for the next. It's all about testing.

i guess purelander had that serves never try it before , also had many landers and only for 25$ for 6 months..

When you say test, what do you mean? How do you test a landing page?

Well you should be tracking conversions for a start on a basic level with goals so you can see where you are losing customers and then experiment with changes on a basic level this could be something as simple as adding a visual padlock or checking wording, spelling etc

From that you want to build up and then A/B testing, multi page testing by splitting the traffic so X% sees one page, other another and so on, heat maps to see how someone interacts. Use the data re-configure the layout to match your findings once that's done test again.

I like to use optimizely been using them for a few years now but there are plenty of other options, crazy egg, smartlook and so on.

Additional:

Let's say your basic funnel is along the lines of:

home > product page > payment > confirmation

If you're losing traffic on payment page that could be down to the page not being secure, not offering enough payment options, hidden costs, currency options not availble and so on.

If the traffic is leaving on home, try sending them directly to the product. IF the product is where people are leaving is it the content, hidden fees, not enough information, poor images, spelling, load times and so on.

That's "basic" testing on a "basic" level for me to explain on a Saturday afternoon!

All of that can be done in any analytics app for free as long as they allow goal creation and funnel view. You can easily see from the goal where your problems are before you may find the need to invest further in more detailed analytics/testing platforms.

Hope that helps

That does help a lot :D Now I just have to get the nerve to actually build a landing page lol. I'm a complete rookie...but I would like to get to the point to where, if I needed to, I would know the exact process to create a landing page within 15 minutes to an hour. I've made a few bucks from using the YT-> twitter -> ogads method; in a strange sort of way, I guess the twitter account would be considered a very CRUDE landing page...but with just a few words and conversions based off of that, I know I can do it.

Ultimately, my goal is to create microniche sites that convert decently with cpa. Any advice on creating my first landing page?
