Easy SEO Work - Get Paid!

Hey BHW community.
I have a friend who has a fantastic management position in a company. We met up for some beers and I found out that he was paying crazy money for his SEO, which only ranked for his EMD/name of business. He has a contract to hold the first position of the first page on google, while the rest of the links are completely organic.
The problem is that there's a ton of links that give terrible rep/reviews, and I told him that I'd try to help since I'm a bit more savvy in this area.
I'm trying to devise a plan consisting of negative SEO (to the links giving bad rep) and building up other existing pages in the company website.

Will scrapebox blasts drop the serp of a forum post from kijiji, redflagdeals or even a newspaper article? If not, is there a good (good as in permanent, not some cheap trick google will later revoke) method in which this can be done?

The term is not competitive at all. I'd just love to chat with someone better at SEO than me (and possibly outsource the project). There is definitely a pay day involved. Get at me guys!

Dont go hiring 'anyone' to do SEO for a friend or base what you plan to do from random replies here as most people just 'think' they know the answer! If things go wrong, it may affect your friendship and your reputation. Eg the 'negative links' backfire and now the negative reviews are ranking above your friends site!

I would personally have a read through the forum to get an idea who the reputable people are and approach someone privately (even then there is a risk) otherwise you will get an inbox full of people who claim to be experts but they like you are just chasing the money and not thinking about getting the job done properly.

It looks like this falls into online reputation management. I would recommend building some web 2.0's, articles etc. and ranking them for target keyword in order to surpass bad reviews/opinions. This should do the trick

What keyword does this reviews point at? if it's the brand or company name then indeed this would be a reputation management.

Try to determine if the business is legit, we can always defend the client but what is all the hard work if the business itself is a scam or the service is very poor, tendency is this negative links will continue with much trusted domain and will be harder to push down.
