Anyone offering to build these sites as a service? I saw a BST but it was charging $145 per site. I could care less about unique content (my traffic is not from google). I could use about 10 sites to start and quick if the price is right. I'm good at earning from Amazon but site design just slows me down lol.
Sub domains won't work nearly as well as add on domains because a sub domain has the main domain included in the URL whereas an add on domain appears as a stand alone domain.
Amazon will not let you use a manufacturers brand name as part of a domain name.
In addition, Amazon doesn't like their links to be cloaked in any way. Recently some Amazon associates have had their membership cancelled for cloaking Amazon links.
Good method...
I do the same thing with a mix of wprobot and phpbay
The hardest is to maintain the website ranking.
Unless you do some seo it drop in result one day...
Number of websites is the key here, if we have to create a decent income stream. But I think I'll give it a try with 20 websites or perhaps use sub domains without using the brand name.
well you gotta remember your relying on getting long tail keyword hits
so you might target one thing but your traffic will be coming from a related word
so if you have 50 sites - getting 10-20 visitors a day looking to buy
you have total traffic 500-1000
if they choose to stay at 10% rate - thats 50-100 potential visitors
then actual Amazon conversion of 8% of which you may make $2-$3 per sale
then your talking about a $300-$400 a month business
........ What your looking for then is
1. attractive site so people click stuff and don't go somewhere else
2. you need to try to pull in more than 20+ people a day per site via longtail - remembering your content sucks.
3. if you could convert at 15 % instead of 8% is would double your business instantly - but you always battle the 24 hour Cookie.
Seems to me - you need a customized theme - and you need excellent Niche targeting or your earnings will be very low.
Just my opinion of course - and I have about 90 of these types of sites - so I kind of know what is going on.
I have been having this error come up in Wpzonbuilder when i try to add to queue:
Amazon Returned An Error
Below are the error messages and error codes as returned by Amazon.
Error Code(s): AWS.MissingParameters
Error Message(s): Your request is missing required parameters. Required parameters include AssociateTag.
I was curious if it had to do with this:
We wanted to remind you of the upcoming changes to the Product Advertising API, which will take effect on October 25, 2011.
The changes, described below, will help us continue to provide you with relevant and useful features to advertise Amazon products. The following changes to the API will take effect on October 25, 2011:
Associate Tag will be a required and verified input parameter in all requests to the API
SellerLookup, SellerListingLookup and SellerListingSearch operations will no longer be supported by the API
ItemPage parameter will be limited to a maximum of 10 pages for ItemSearch results
MerchantId parameter will no longer be supported for filtering offers, variations and search results
Merchants search index will no longer be supported
Data returned by the Offers and ItemAttributes response groups will be limited to the most frequently used attributes
When i try to "add to queue" Is anyone else having this problem? It could be something im overlooking. I have tried entering my api codes several times. I have been staring at this computer screen for far to long today....
If no one knows i guess i will continue to drive myself insane
