First, the idea and lastly how to take it to the next level.

I am going to make this short and sweet. I stumbled upon a Youtube video where the girl linked out to this website. She charges $80 an hour for sessions and it got me thinking, who can use this website and for what purpose?

This is their FAQ:

Code:
https://www.liveninja.com/FAQ/

It clearly states that anybody can sign up and become an expert without a degree or certification or even experience. It states that they take a 20% fee for providing the platform to sell on. So there are no upfront costs (it also states this).

These education platforms are becoming more popular; mostly passive ones where the user watches pre-recorded videos - basically just selling a course. This is the first live one I've seen.

This is so easy though, how many members on bhw are bilingual? Probably a lot of you! You can teach your native language to the English speaking population. This is probably the best example I can think of that will help most of you. But you can teach anything. If you know HTML really well or even Photoshop I am sure you can push these services quite easily. There must be something that you know that somebody needs to learn. The beautiful part about this is that it is a one-on-one session. You start to teach somebody about this and they will come back for more if you do a good job. Imagine how long it would take you to teach somebody Spanish,Italian,German, [insert language here] - and if you charge them $20 an hour then you can easily make some decent, easy cash off of just a few students.

It's really that simple.

One last thing though - you will want to drive traffic to your profile, don't just set it up and wait for traffic from the platform - go out there and take it. Create Youtube videos and then also use Meathead's thread about SEO Jacking:

Don't over-complicate this, you know things that somebody else doesn't - and people are willing the pay a premium fee so that they can be guided - people love to be guided and you can use that to help them achieve their goals while achieving your own as well.

And once you have made enough then read below........

One last thing, for the guys out there looking to pad their bank accounts with a lot more zeros than $20 an hour will - look at this as an opportunity and pounce on it. Like I said this is the first live training kind of site I have personally seen for experts. They are taking 20% of all sales on the site and the users are generating good traffic for them using their own lists.

My point is go make a site just like this and charge 15%, give it a better name and go add some zeros to your net worth.

I wonder if people would pay me to learn iMacros or Ubot that would be cool for extra money once and awhile.

imacros & ubot are dialects... no one wants to learn a dialect... it's like saying you know programming because you managed to put 3 buttons on a window and make them do something already written in the repository

That's not true, he could easily sell a service on the Ubot forum and charge per hour. He could do it over Skype in this case and keep all the profits but the point is that people will pay to learn Ubot - I know this first hand as people have asked me to coach them before.

@tompots I don't know what the market is like for iMacros it might be larger than Ubot so this might be a viable option for this platform. But if you run into a tight knit community you may be able to sell your services directly and keep all of the profits.

The platform is there to ease the users mind and also to drive (some) internal traffic. Which is ideal for broader niches - whereas tight knit communities will probably be okay with Skype sessions.

Cool idea, I dont know think I specialize enough in web design or html to get anyone to hire me.

I think That I'm going to give this a shot. I could use the supplement income until I get better at the current techniques that I'm learning, this could also help to fund some other things I have going until they become more profitable. I have already had a few people inquiring about me teaching them, this could be a great way to execute teaching them, and making the process a much nicer experience, for the student and me.

Don't limit yourself to only those qualities, you could teach people how to lose weight for example or how to start juicing, get six pack abs, take photos with the Nikon D5000, pick up laides and or bank money on Youtube. You are only limited by the scope of your imagination - what are you good at? Don't skim this over and read the next post, have a think on it and I am sure you can come up with a marketable skill. That's the point after-all - finding the significant in the unseemingly insignificant.

Too be perfectly honest I don't see the point in using live ninja, you could just build your own website, establish yourself as an authority on that and offer consultation as well as products to sell. Granted if it is just noobs with no money you can use live ninja as a starting platform but you could be raking in much more money through a blog and offering consultations (which is really what live ninja is a consult or tutor on whatever subject the person is paying for).

There are a few reasons as to why somebody would use a platform.

1. Search engine visibility - you can rank an internal page on their site easier than a brand new site you purchase.

2. Peace of mind for the users - this should slightly increase conversions.

3. Internal traffic - while it may not be much I bet there will be some.

You could possibly make up the 20% in these - or at least some of it.

Granted if you have your own traffic source already then you can always do Skype sessions and keep all the money for yourself. Just build a landing page for visitors to purchase coaching sessions from you. Really the choice is yours you don't have to follow it exactly as I said in the post - put your own twist on it.
