Easy money for kids!

right now the weather is getting warmer and oh boy just wait till the summer time. I thought of this when I was 13 but at that time I was too old to be doing this and now 7 years later I really started thinking about this idea and I am going to tell you. This is what you need

Otter Pops those things are the best. Best yet there is 100 of those things in the box and they are only about $6. Now what you do is set up a lemonade stand thing but we are not selling lemonade here we are selling frozen treats just like the ice cream man. Little kids will be digging in there pockets and running to mom and dad for a measly quarter. Quarters add up!

Sell each otter pop for 25 cents. On a hot summer day would you pay 25 cents for a frozen treat. All you need to do is sell 24 of those little buggers and you get your money back and the other 76 Otter pops is money in the bank.

So pay $6 for something and getting $25 in turn is not that bad. You can easily sell more.

This is a good way to teach kids some money skills.

No what you do is you go on ebay and buy the promotional jumbo size cases of candy bars that school kids and cub scouts sell for $1. Pay a kid half the profits to stand outside a mall and sell that shit all day.

We used to pimp one of my high school girlfriends little brothers with that scam. Couple hundred bucks a day easy, and that was 14 years ago. Still just as good today.

Kids and charity sells people, get on the train if you need extra cash. Easiest money you'll ever make :)
 
My mom used to work for readers digest and we literally got a whole garage full of those candy bar things in the cases. My brother would take a box to school and those kids literally buy a candy bar for $10 no joke. He also got a lot of video games from people. My mom proud of his entrepreneur spirit was like okay thats too much don't want the kids mothers to complain.
 
my brother had this idea when he was 10. we were in sam's club and he saw those boxes of candy and he figured he could make like an easy $30 a day doing this. he never followed through though. he's 14 now. i think i will remind him of this.....
 
You make me sad =( Otter Pops were just about my brothers' and mine favorite ice cream ever. I moved from America about 3 years ago and I was just visiting last summer and guess what... The Cosco in the area was sold out of them... My brother almost cried =(

Wish I could get them here... Anyone wanna send me some?
 
wow, i didn't know blackhatter's were that young. i need to get my brothers on here. just don't want them e-whoring though. they are 14 and 15. quite a big age difference. one of them is an ebay powerseller though.
 
I did this back when I was at school, however I sold gum as I could get it so much cheaper!
 
kids were always selling candy at school back in the day.. easy $ because what other kid wouldn't spend some of their lunch money on candy?

my neighbors and i used to make a "carnival" with stupid games in our backyards with penny candy for prizes.. we'd spend a couple bucks on prize candy, then charge say a quarter for so many game tickets and then take our money and go buy more candy for ourselves with it.
 
Years ago my daughter (now 21) would ride her bike to the local grocers and buy a dozen donuts, bags of chips, etc. Then she'd sell them individually to the kids in our apartment complex. Sometimes the adults, too. Worked out well for her cause we lived about 50 miles south of Chicago. More convenient to buy from her than trek to the store.
 
Well I wasn't a kid, I was 19, you'd need a car, we get our drivers licences at 18 in this State. I'm much, much older now, but it was my first business. There were a group of us, the other's are making big, big money now, as they're specialist doctor's. We all had our own little businesses as ice cream salesmen. (I'm semi-retired now). We'd do it in the Summer holidays in Melbourne, Australia, down at the beach.

We'd buy in bulk, and sell in cones. My G-d, the kids (and parents) would just line up to part with their money. It was bloody hard work, but we'd earn very, very well. I suppose we were all entrepreneurs. I went on to establish a number of niche businesses, one being one of the first computer rental businesses in Australia, and some Party Hire businesses.

During a lot of that time, I kept studying. Now I have too many letters after my name, have had much business experience, am an Industrial Chemist, and a Librarian.

Funny, when my kids want ice cream, and I'm being a hardass and saying no, they will set up a lemonade stand. This is, of course, the stereotypical kid business but they amaze me, it works for them every time and I wind up taking them for ice cream so they can spend their earnings.
 
If you are going to do that make sure it is far away from a food and drink shop, or else they will just go into the shop, common sense yes, but I have seen people doing this near a supermarket before. :p

You're guys, 14, 13, are already doing affiliate marketing, link building, SEO, etc... Wow, just wait until you become older, you'll do wonders!!!
 
I used to do this but with sweets, whenever I used to go with my dad to the wholesale warehouses, I used to just buy a box of sweets, and then sell them for anything around 150% of the price. It was a good way to make quick money but then my headteacher got really pissed haha.
 
this reminds me when i was about 11/12 we are talking like 22 years ago... long before the internet and affiliate marketing as we know was around lol

everyday i used to buy candy and chocolate bars in multi packs and i also used to make a ton of different sandwiches and used to sell them at school, i did that for the longest time! lol and for an 11 year old i would make good money... as i got older i went more into selling CDs and imitation wear... not bad going for someone self taught... along with starting an apprenticeship at an engineering company i was the only kid at 17 that was able to afford to drive their own 2yr old XR3i convertible not to mention afford the insurance without their parents help... (at the time the xr3i was the dogs bollocks) LOL

i also use to sell and hustle at my grans flea market at the weekend too... always used to make more than the other stalls... hahaha

this was my intro to the art of selling/marketing hahahhaa

It was a few years back ... during the armstrong yellow armbands craze.

I ordered the nike "Stand Up Speak Up" armbands in bulk from ebay ($5 each) and sold it to teens in my country at $15. It wasn't available in my country, I was the only few suppliers here.

Made hundreds within a few weeks. :)
 
I was able to sell at least 70 pieces a day, when I was selling king-size candies in high school.
