IMO, this would strictly depend on the item you're promoting. I use YT to promote services for my clients, eProducts and physical products, and none have the same type of website.

And honestly, they all convert well.

Weng is correct.

A question like this cannot be answered, and you should be wary of those that tell you " You can make X amount of $$ in X amount of days". There are too many variables.

The only thing you can do if you want to make $$ online is get out there and just start taking action.

Direct affiliate linking will most likely get your video banned. If not immediately, very soon.

You can use a domain for redirects if you want to go the direct linking route.

Really? I'd heard that Amazon was perfectly fine with links from your own social media outlets... I mean, they even have a "post to Twitter" option. Just not spam on others' pages. Would this change if I took a totally whitehat approach and created an actual review channel -- with all my videos in
the same channel, with the same person on camera, etc.?

WHat if you use a bit.ly URL. I see a lot of video on YT using those and the videos work for months.

I can see the paralysis by analysis is already kicking in for some people so, I will say it one more time - just get out there and test things out.

I have laid out the foundation for you guys here. What works for me will not always work for someone else, and this goes for everyone. But the only way you will ever know what works for you is to just start testing things out.

Example: "Should I direct link to an offer or link to a review page?"

My personal approach to something like this is easy:

1. Make 2 copies of my video - 1 will posted with a direct link and the other a link to my review site(this takes absolutely no extra time or effort on your part except for changing the links out and maybe a few minor adjustments to the content in the video).

2. Post them to YT, promote them, and monitor their performance.

3. Discover the winner and replicate it.

When reading methods like I have posted here, the goal should be to start creating your own system based off of the method in question. You want to be able to churn out these kinds of things as fast as possible if you really want to start making good money.

Also, direct links will work for some videos; other times a review site may be more appropriate. These are all minor details in the large scope of things, and the only way you will be able to come up with solutions to these sorts of things is through actually taking action.

I will tell you that my first few video attempts didn't work for shit. But that doesn't bother me at all because the more I do something, the more experience and insight I gain which equals the fast track to success.

Can I get a rough estimate on how much you would pay for an outsourced video? If it is a numbers game it sounds like a better option to get most of the work outsourced. I was also wondering about minimum-maximum video length.

I would like to know that as well.

what website design has worked for you guys in this tactic? Like do you pretty much just have a review website where you will list a product and its review, or do you just list products and their specs maybe? And is it best to make a website based around a certain type or product like electronics, health or whatever?

I love this method... I'm finding a small hangup here though...

I am so worried about coming off as cheesy and unconvincing in a review video for a product I've never used. I tried outsourcing it to a fiverr gig and the person said they couldn't do it because they weren't able to get enough info on the product.

What are you guys doing to write up scripts for your videos? I guess my main concern is just what I would say in a video about a product I've never used... the believability of it.
