His average sale is just over $100 gross, so he's almost definitely making very close to $0 profit. That's including the sites that will inevitably not sell as well.

I'm sure this "case study" would have been put on WF by some idiot who has never sold sites before. Anyone who does will tell you it's not possible to sell PLR sites on Flippa for $800 a pop consistently (sure, you might get the odd lucky sale).

WF truly is a terrible forum, so much misinformation. I bet that seller has been featured in "flipping" WSOs too.

And re: your point about it not being a rip off. Yes it is. The site was clearly not worth $4000 - that's just bullshit added to mislead buyers. It's a bad business model and not something I would encourage people to do.

Ok this in case it SELLS, because if it does NOT, you have expenses of $66 and profit is $0, so you LOST $66 ....

WSOTesters. Thanks for the reply! I understand your words and thoughts. As the used car dealers offer a pretty and shiny car on their parking lot and the vehicle in question is bought as is. The buyers innate and personal desires, needs and wants facilitate the sale. This is true with all purchases.

Do you think these prices are accurate or close for such a project?

Plr blog: $17
Flippa listing fee: $29
Flippa success fee: $40 (5%)
PayPal Fees: $30

Total Expenses = $136

About a year ago I did sell cookie cutter sites that sold followers and backlinks and what not, and I can say for a fact it was a profitable business even when a small percentage of sites didn't sell. Another thing to note is that people actually did make sales. The driving force behind making the sales is getting the traffic. If someone has a viable traffic source, they could potentially turn a site like that into profit. The problem is that some people don't know what they're doing when they buy a site and they don't realize they actually have to put work into it to make money. Also, I should mention that you can relist sites that didn't sell, you don't have to get a brand new one every time.

This is true... and it does happen. But I know that you can relist the site without having to purchase everything again.

I checked the past sales of the seller and you will find that most of his sales are in the $80-$100 range. There was a negative feedback mentioning that traffic was not equivalent to claimed. Will you call it a long term and stable business strategy ?

It depends what you call "profitable". With all the work building the sites and transferring them, you'd do very well to make a few grand profit working full-time. Most of these turnkey sellers get caught out for shill bidding eventually anyway.

I do actually know Flippa very well, and I can assure you that selling PLR sites like you're suggesting is not a sustainable business model.

Selling decent sites with content and an aged domain could be profitable if you have a good system, as can service sites if you provide them with a good method to make money (so they come back and buy again). It sounds like that's what you were doing, so that's why it was profitable.

From what it looks like, it probably is not a long term or stable business strategy. But you can always do more research and see what sites are selling on flippa and use WhatWpThemeIsThat.com to learn about what they're doing and see if you can emulate it.

Flipping sites is a very attractive venue and I agree about offering value for the money parted.
As with all IM activities. Passion and drive and action are the true seeds for success.

I am curious to know that why have you inserted the url (whatwptheme) here. I do check the just sold websites on flippa to get an idea of whats happening there. However, since I have not made any transaction there, I cannot say anything from experience.

Well the method is okay but with few glitches. You won't (YES I MEAN WON'T) find any domain with PR1 and age of 2+ years for 20 bucks. These domains are costly and are sold for hundreds if not thousands.

Secondly this person is successful as he has good repute and has many successful sales. It will be very hard for some newbie to sell PLR Blog.

Last time I checked, you don't run into the "hundreds" range until you get to legit PR3's. And you won't touch the "thousands" until you get to legit PR5's.

It's just a case study I found... so you can be creative and put a spin on it however you like.

I bought that Lumpsum profits program from Ryan Whogivesa...

Followed everything, freaking everything, to the letter. While trying to flip my site at flippa Ryan's way I made exactly 50,- bucks the first time. Minus the 29,- I had to pay for using Flippa.....

So I gave the course to my nephew. Maybe he had more luck then me I figured. He did the same thing and got a whopping 75,- on flippa for his site. And with all the money he invested on that site he was down 25 bucks.

So he called me and we did it together. Again we did everything to the letter (even followed the same niche of some chick that was in Ryan's course and we even used the same sales page that she used). We built a simple, but nice looking site, ranked it number 6 on google, etc.
Then we tried to sell it on flippa with the tips and tricks Mr. Ryan F. face gave us in his course.

Nobody was interested in buying it and the clock was ticking. So far we paid 28,- for the domain and hosting. And finally someone paid 30 bucks for it.

I told my nephew to keep the 2 bucks.

Then I went home to send an e-mail to mister f.face and his lumpsum profits.

Please noobs, don't make the same mistake I did to buy all those get rich quick courses. If it sounds to good to be true, it is.

99% percent of them are bull..... You do a better job by searching this forum and don't you ever buy something on the WarriorF.

Just hang around here, read, learn and look stupid and come up with your own ideas. Eventually it will make you some money!
