Ok, I wanna now share my experinece.
Yesterday I put a listing on the leading competitor to Craiglist in my country.
I got one interest buyer, but a few minutes after he wrote me a mail, I received a mail from my selling platform, that the buyer's account is blocked cause he was scamming.
I don't lost money cause the potential buyer was blocked before I could answer him.
My conclusion: There are many scammers on the buyers side. Maybe it's better to use Garbage Accounts to sell stuff on CL and similar platforms.

Just want to add my experience to all of this. Like a lot of the people here, I started using this method and started making sales like crazy. After making some sales, there are just way too many scammers out there on eBay. People messaging you for refunds claiming they were hacked or pulling up disputes on Paypal. This method is pretty risky to use on eBay especially since everything you are selling are virtual items.
Tried this method, a lot of people asking for refunds. Your profit is only 2-3 bucks a game and if they ask for refund, you lose money from G2A AND eBay. SO if you sell a $7 game for $10, you're gonna lose all $17 + fees if they ask for refund.

Send them a piece of paper with the code on it and add a tracking #. Problem solved.

This method didn't worked too well even before this thread was posted here, since then it only got worse.
Why? It's not because all of a sudden everyone started to do it and increase the competition on the seller side, but because not everyone does what OP outlined, instead some/many of the readers does the other thing, the scamming. If you haven't noticed it yet, this thread increased the competition on the scammer side too. The thread already has 11k+ views.
If you want to try this, at least don't use eBay or else you'll only lose your money.
That method is a smart way to protect yourself in many cases when dealing with digital goods, but in this case it doesn't help unfortunately.

Problem is not solved, because they don't claim that they didn't receive the code, they claim that the code is not working and that's where the problem lies, because you can't prove otherwise. Also, the shipping cost could kill your profit with a low value item like this.

I've been using this method but with my own twist and so far have had really great succes, had two sales in 5 hours, made an easy $40. If you are going to copy this method you are going to fail, I can tell you that! Unless you bring in your own twist you are doomed to fail..

Sounds great, but how would someone go about this exactly? I can't seem to find at least half of these options in my account, where i can set the buyer requirements. Apparently i can block buyers with a negative feedback score or with a feedback score equal to or lower than 5, but i can't block by account age and i can't block users with more than 5 positive feedbacks either. Do you have the option to block new users or users with 10 positive feedbacks? Not that i would want to try this method, i'm just asking, because in theory what you posted sounds great and it could come handy with other methods as well, but i fail to find those options.

I guess you can do that, but it won't prevent scammers bidding on/buying your items. Also, i'm not quite sure, if it's not against some eBay policies closing out users like that, practically circumventing and adding your own terms to their buyer requirement options provided by eBay. And even if all that is fine with eBay, scammers could care less about descriptions or return policies. If the buyer/scammer wins/buys an item, in most cases you're obligated to provide the buyer with the product, there are only a few exceptions and you can't keep playing those cards. In other words, if you can't block them technically, i don't think that those written warnings by the seller would worth a damn.

I had someone with a feedback score of 100+ use the "Unauthorized Payment" bs so just because they have a high feedback score doesn't mean they won't scam you.
My method is somewhat similar to this, but I get my codes from a wholesaler. The problems come from the items you all sell. Any new popular game is going to have scammers because the most game scammers are teenagers. New AAA games have very small margins and nobody makes a good margin on them digital or not. Gamestop barely makes a profit off of them considering they pay $48. Doing this arbitrage method you are not going to be able to compete with any power seller and have the same margins considering most of these sellers either but 1000's of codes or have wholesalers with 1000's of codes. Most products I research I can undercut my competition and still nearly double my investment. Another thing is I wouldn't touch anything over $20 unless you have feedback in the thousand because scammers often look for low feedback sellers first.
