.:$easy $100 plus a day anyone can do!:.

I am hardly someone to say I know a large amount about casino affiliates, but I do know a little and yes this has worked for me. I have gotten sign ups, I did not do this very much. I dont really do much CL posting anymore. But I can say that if you are thorough with this and follow through correctly you can make some money.

Really I hope more that this gives people other ideas and the tweak this and make their own methods. People should take this method and make it work for them, whether is changing the genre of offer they are promoting, or something else. That is one of the reasons I made it pretty broad. Well with that said, again I do not know much about poker affilates and it seems that punn does. So I would listen to any advice or comments he ads to this thread.

Like I said dude, I'm NOT trying to be a dick. It's just the big hurdle here, as it is with almost any affiliate marketing is turning someone who is interested into a paying customer. Because even though the poker affiliates call their payment plan "CPA", it isn't like the CPA offers many people are used to.

Anyone who signs up is going to have to deposit money before you get paid, plus meet the FPP requirement.

I'm not saying it's impossible, I'm just saying there is a big jump between offering a free tournament to people and then convincing them to then deposit money with their CC to a poker site.

Now I'm strictly a US-based guy, so maybe my info is bad for those who aren't based in the States.

One problem is a lot of people still THINK online poker is "illegal" because they are mindless fools who believe anything that they are told.

Somehow you've got to convince someone looking for a free poker tournament on Craigslist to whip out their CC and deposit money on a poker site, even though they've been led to believe it's "illegal" by their friends and the idiots in the news media.

I'm not saying that can't be done, I'm just saying it's a steep step for a prospect to take. A better route might be to start a "legalize online poker petition" on something like Craigslist. That way you get people interested in online poker who think it's illegal. When they "sign your petition" they merely join your list and then you can educate them on how online poker really isn't illegal and which sites they can play at and what the best deposit methods are. After that you can pitch them poker products, software, training, etc.

The issue here is something like this takes work and resembles an actual business, so most people will shy away from it immediately. Just the way it is.

Please note, if this thread has interested you in becoming a poker affiliate, please make sure you do all your homework first regarding the laws in the state where you live. Poker affiliates are in a bit of a grey area as laws are very slow to catch up to new technology and business.

I'd also like to note there are poker-related programs out there you can promote that do not involve real money online poker or gambling sites. These include things like PurePlay and ClubWPT, etc.

Yeah i think im going to skip this one..I dont want my poker stars account banned again for spamming.. heh

lostmkiv, you dont have to use the same account as the one you play on, also pokerstars might not be the best affiliate to work with for this anyway

This sounds like a great idea.,

I'm going to set up my Gmail account to vacation mode, so the response will be automated...

yea gmail is good. If you wanted to take it a step further, you could register a domain that had poker in the name, and then use an email from that to look more legit.

Did anyone have success with implementing this yet?
I guess it will take a few days before you can comment on the progress of the CL ads
OP, what type of forums do you think would be best in promoting this?

there are lots of poker forums, and gambling forums. Maybe even forex forums, but thats an outside possibility of working.

your right viva, this is pretty simple, but sometimes we overlook the simple things. How to do this offline:

1. Order 250 free business cards for free from vistaprint.
2. Go to the poker areas of your closest casino and pass around your business cards, aka invites to the poker party.

If you only give 250 out to people who want to come to the 'event' your conversion rate should be real high. Your event could make you 20k :P Imma defo gonna order some more business cards and try this!

Simplicity rocks.

you will normally need the user to deposit, unless the affilate program states otherwise

vivalafeva...do u suggest do choose revenue option rather than CPA commission ??

Again....let's think about why most gambling forums exist. They have their own affiliate programs and links to promote. Most won't tolerate forum spam and most will quickly report you to the site you are promoting telling them you are spamming their forum, then comes the ban hammer.

The best move is to start your own forum and build it from the ground up, even if that means you create different user names and have conversations with yourself thru the course of a day to build content. But again, this takes WORK.

nice detail reply....but most people just cant afford to start a FORUM...no time..or no money...cant commit at all...

HAHAHAHA!!!

Well, I was gonna unload here, but you aren't in the US. Let me tell you what happens here in the US if you walk into a casino's poker room and start passing around business cards to players for online poker.

First thing that happens is that one of the floor men sees you after about 30 seconds and calls security. Then they arrive and take you from the poker room and get your info. Next they tell you that you can't solicit at their casino. Once you think everything's "cool", they tell you you're no longer welcome in their casino - that means your banned. If they want to get really hardcore about it, they take your info and you get a restraining order in the mail.

This idea is akin to walking into a McDonald's with a food cart and trying to sell McDonald's customers your food.

If you're going to solicit poker players at a casino in the US, you better do it covertly like you're James Bond on a secret mission. That means getting to know guys at your table and sliding them a business card when they go to the bathroom or when you're taking a smoke break outside the casino.

Again, you have to treat it like a business. One thing I used to do was get to know a few guys at the poker table and then offer to buy them dinner at the buffet. This gave me a chance to sell them. Plus I did more than just hand them a card and ask them to sign up under me.

Once again, I'm not trying to be a DICK, but walking into a casino and passing out freaking business cards to poker players indiscreetly might just be one of the worst ideas I've ever heard and clearly comes from someone with no experience. It's a bad idea that will most likely get you kicked out of a casino and possibly even banned. Do it in the wrong place and you might even catch a beating.....just kidding - maybe.

Really? What does it take to start a forum? A domain name and a hosting account with Fantastico, that's about it.

If you're just looking to post in forums and make affiliate commisions, then the gambling/poker niche is not for you. You won't have success in this niche going half-ass. This is a "big dog" niche, so if you want to spam blogs, forums and CL, then move along to another niche.

The commissions in the gambling/poker niche are huge and that's why it attracts such competition.

You're competing with rakebacks and other affiliates that offer bonuses for deposits. Some forums offer you $50 cash just for signing up under their link. That's because they know they are going to make close to that on your first deposit and more and more each and every time you deposit FOREVER.

They are in it for the LONG-TERM and run things like a business. If you're going to just mess around in the niche, well, you're better off not even wasting your time.
