That's entirely up to you mate.

I've proven time and time again here that this works, there's a ton of ways to make money from it. Selling your own products (which I do) is one way to spin it, or you could review Amazon products, or give a pdf away to build an email list, or even just redirect straight to a sales page. The list of possibilities is endless.

All this method is, is a way to drive traffic to a website for little or no money. How you promote your site in your comments and what you do with that traffic is up to you.

The only barrier here is your own imagination.

I see many people asking if this method still works and yes it does. It was the first method I used to make money online. As freddy said the only thing holding you back from using this method is your imagination. There's so much that you can do with it.

The next thing is your work ethic. You have to put in the work if you're going to make this method work. Most people just try a method and don't even put there all into the method. When it does not work instead of thinking that they should change their approach the first thing they say is that this does not work.

What has allowed me to make this method work is that I took the time to read through all to the threads posted on here and I kept trying and testing my results. I would try something see if it works and then read through this thread to see if I find the answer. If I couldn't find the answer (this is only after really searching through the thread) then I would post a question.

The only way that you can truly know if a method works is if you try the method yourself. Try it and see if it works. Stop asking others in this thread if they think that the method works or not. Just follow the steps take action and see for yourself.

If you lose money then thats no problem it's all a part of the making money online process and the more you go through it the closer you get to the things that truly work.

Try it for yourself. Action beats overthinking every time.

i did this a long time ago to drive traffic to my blogger/blogspot and also used it to my optin pages made good progress with it but i got busy on emailing, i can still remember using scrapebox in addition to this method. anywho.. i will try doing this again since i have extra time but instead of spending money domain and hosting im gonna use a simple wordpress site the free one.

The real key to this is your comments, make it a very helpful one. On some forums i even make comments without adding any link to add more reputation to my account of course im doing this on my spare time.

forgot to add this problem i encountered,

on the Tools , everytime i change Anytime to past 24hours or anything else it shows so many links that redirects to a one site promoting a product, wtf is happening

after a month or two i was making around $20 a month from adsense on my blog and some little extra from affiliate banners. But i am an email marketer so i knew that targeted subscribers i was getting was of more value.

you can make it a very simple single page site or add some banners and ads on the side or get fancy adding popups, really up to your imagination

Hi guys,Does anybody try this recently ?

I have read a good chunk of this thread. I was initially paralyzed with information overload, and my natural tendency to be a perfectionist. Until I went "screw it, lets do this. We'll figure out the details along the way." As a result I've learned a lot in the past 2 weeks. I'm 100% new to this internet marketing thing.

I bought a domain name, hosting, then created a wordpress site. I picked the weight loss niche since I used to be overweight and I'm now shredded. So I actually know a thing or two about the topic. I created a CB account too.

I designed my own logo and made the site aesthetically appealing by customizing some fancy wordpress theme. Then I wrote some articles/reviews with affiliate links in them.

I'm now in the process of driving traffic to my site, and that's where I'm having trouble. I search for weight loss news and blogs, on google, using freddyjames' method. I'll go through the 10-20 first G result pages with different keywords. Most of the sites don't allow commenting. A lot are off-topic. Some have Disqus - therefore I avoid them. So I'm left with sites that have the FB plugin (but I'm not a top commenter yet), and sites with their own commenting system that you have to sign up for. Many of my comments don't pass moderation - although I try to add value in them. And those that do, don't have my site as a clickable link in them. Since the URL is in plain text, people probably can't be arsed to copy paste it.

I've spent a couple hours commenting over the last few days, and I have yet to do drive a single visitor to my site... I'll admit I'm a slow poster, but I think I must be doing something wrong. I'll re-read some of the pointers given by members in this thread to re-evaluate my strategy.

Any tip to accelerate my learning curve?

Oooh, I wake up this morning... and lo and behold, I've driven 7 visitors to my site - all 7 converted into hops.

These numbers are ridiculously pathetic, considering the time I've spent commenting, but this feels like a milestone to a neophyte like me!

If we rewrite review articles from other sources, that wouldn't count as plagiarism, right? Also, what if we find discussions about the topic on forums and whatnot but don't know what to say/how to contribute?

No forums for now. Only news sites and various blogs. Freddyjames covered his method extensively in the thread, and I'm following it.

Don't ignore forums. It is a lot more difficult these days to drop links on sites using the FB or disqus plugins, plus you won't get juice from them long term anyway. You can drop links in forums very easily as long as your post is a good one - especially if it's giving credit to a source (which is obviously your site, but they don't need to know that).

Forums also, as Meathead points out many times, rank very well, so you will get long term benefits from them. Comments sections from personal blogs also have good short and long-term traffic.

I can say the biggest single source of sales I ever made by far, long term, was one forum in my niche.

For commenting atm for IMMEDIATE traffic, at this point I would say that when searching for sites and news pages to comment on, pay particular attention to those who use their own commenting platforms. Sites like NYTimes, NYmag, washingtonpost etc spring to mind. Keep them bookmarked and look at them each day for new articles in your niche.

I used to do this each morning years ago, I think there is probably a comment here I made on it, how I would open any sites like this each morning while having a coffee, looking for places to drop links.

Facebook graph search is good for immediate traffic, however it is not as easy as it once was. If your account doesn't look real to FB, you're gonna be hitting ID requests and bans. I get around this with automated software, but that is really a different method.

Basically my point in making this post is this: Any form of IM is fluid. The rules change. What worked 3 years ago is probably going to need tweaking now to work in the same way.

This method of making money by driving traffic to your blog/site by making comments will always work, but you gotta be real smart now how you do it.

EDIT: I just remembered how a guy called Fukien used to make money, he'd register at forums and send people PM's that actually read "Wanna lose weight Fatty? Check this out ----> LINK". I wouldn't suggest that, but it does highlight how being original makes the most money.
