Hey there! I should have tested out the alerts as well, but I was so excited to just create a website and do something that I got ahead of myself. I ended up going with clickbank, since it's the only one I know. Thanks for the advice!

Yeah I just went with clickbank as well, although I'm gonna try and add more later on once I get the hang of this. I nearly made the same mistake myself and almost forgot to check my niche first so I totally understand. But you're right, it's an exciting feeling!
 
I recommend using the Google Alerts with the RSS feed option - this can make it much quicker than email to scan through for relevant posts to reply to.

To set this up: Choose 'Feed' when setting up your google alerts. It will automatically set up the RSS Feed in Google reader, but you can subscribe to it in a desktop reader like this:
- Go to google reader
- Select the newly created feed
Feed settings... -> View Details and Statistics

then copy n paste feed url into your program, make sure the program checks for updates regularly :-)
 
I think a key here is to do as many niches as possible & not stick to just one niche. If you've got 10-15 different niches you increase your chances of success by umpteen percent.
 
So most of you are doing CB, which is guides and "how to" products, not physical products?

Is this the better thing to do for the UK?

Just one niche is already much time consuming, so doing 10-15 niches ....

How? Most of the G Alerts results are pretty poor IMO. I don't mean 10-15 sites. Just rewrite some articles, stick your CB Aff link inside and re direct people to the article. Anyone can rewrite a few articles per hour. And before you know it you're promoting 10+ different products to a much wider audience than you would doing one review site.

it depends on the niche, but the one I choose sends me around 100 rss feeds alert per day...
And it's not a big niche (a motorbike accessorie niche)
 
I'm getting into this today...

Today I:

-Picked a niche
-Found a d.o.t.c.o.m. domain and nabbed it
-installed wp and a theme
-created header and logo

then I:
-realised what I was going for initially was not a good idea

but...
-did some research and found potential with a slightly different angle!
-signed up for some affiliate offers

hopefully more progress to follow!
 
Quite hard when I have no knowledge of niches, CPAs, content blockers etc.
will give this a shot in a few days, darn, i need to get some money goin.
 
meathead1234 tell me please it works with cpa offers to post on forums/blogs? because here I see all people use clickbank, amazon etc for sales.

My niche : motorbike accessories

CPA offer : 100% niche compatible (motorbike accessories too)

Results : $0

I built a nice review sites with around 20 products extracted from the CPA websites. I Posted around 20 blog comments and 50 messages with signatures on french moto forums.

Some say that's nothing, but well, creating accounts, fake real profiles, answering to threads and articles on blogs with interesting content, building all the redirections to fake referers, etc.. during many days not to seem spammy, too much work for me so I abandon.

Good luck people, this method certainly work but there are other methods that need less work and more profitable.
Anyway thanks to OP of course.

I tried this method as well, with two sites. I set up nice reviews IMO and put up a bunch of results. I got the traffic but no conversions.

I even picked niches people recommended here, but no profit :/

Its been almost three weeks

Use a proxy server and a different email addy to register with.
 
I see that tonight I received 8 clicks from USA on my cpa offer but no conversions and the site it's verry attractive
