Yes, this works in 2020. I am having some minor success with it, making sales on a somewhat consistent basis.
But it's not nearly as easy as it used to be back in the days.
Be prepared to work 10 times harder if you want results.

I saw it back then, but I never set the time to really implement it. I was just in a learning phase, where I learned everything I can. And my freelancing work took most of my time.
But now I know that I missed on a really great opportunity not putting it into action soon enough.
Anyway, I shiffted from freelancing to agency for 2 years now and I want to expand to webmarketing so I'm seriously considering affiliation. And I think I found something to tweak about this method to make it work even in 2020.
I really appreciate how this guide is still relevant even after nearly 10 years.

Of course it works but you have more competition as the method is already out for so many years.

LOL man, I don't think it's the competition that makes this method a bit hard, but nowadays, you can't post your links wherever you want. Since many sites have high moderations compared to days when it was easy, but still, this works if you input your own twist.

What would you say is harder about it? Without trying this method I would think higher moderation, more competition and people being generally more savy to ads would all be big barriers. I feel like people would smell the ad instantly in 2020 but I'm sure you could just get creative with it.

I don't know if I'm allowed to do this, but I just created a thread the other day showing how I made $1500 with this very method and my own tweaks.
There's way more competition now, less comment fields that are active as blogs are dying out. Forums are dying out as well and getting more strict.
There's ways around all of that though
I was basically watching TV and adding comments like a robot.

I don't really know. You could post 100 comments/posts in one day and still not see results.
Probably only took me a few days/weeks to get my first sale. Probably a fluke, but anyways.

Awesome idea!! I see people commenting a lot in reddit threads and places like that. And when I tried out some of these products I quickly realized they were garbage. Now I understand that they were marketers like me lol. In any case great idea and I am totally new to digital marketing so it's a good thing for me to try out.

This is a great share. However this things have since this was published way back in 2011. 2021 is a different game and a lot harder
