Easiest way to upload PLR?

I have a collection of over 1.2 million PLR articles, all very high quality un-spun type stuff, but right now I have interns uploading these articles to various blogs manually. I need a better way, this is just crazy. I need a plugin, something, that would allow me to upload maybe 500-1,000 articles at a time. I've tried some of the plugins (free and paid) but they either dont work, corrupt the database, or will only post one a day max.

One thing I really need is the ability to post it all at once, or to drip feed it...I usually need to dump like 500 articles on asap, and then drip maybe 10 a day for the rest of the time. Being able to post them in multiple author names would be a big plus.

My articles are formatted like this.....

Not having to do articles all day would be like a promotion! Any help or advice is appreciated. I need a solution.

good recommendation. I've looked at this before, and several others. The problem is the formatting of the text files. Basically we would have to go in and edit 1.2 million text files to make them work with the plugin. Right now each articles is only used once, so it's not like "do it once and have it forever" sort of thing either. I went down that road with another plugin and it took nearly as long as posting an aticle...and then you had to sort everything in files and actually post the articles with the plugin. No big deal, but time wise it was worse.

Maybe if I had a program that could automatically format the txt files too.....hmm...

Honestly I'm not sure. I don't own samurai or wprobot so I can't say for sure. It appears to me all they do is scrap rss feeds? Am I wrong?

I wonder if there is a program that lets you tell it how your stuff is formateed.....like you could put into a place on the program something like

basically it would count and ignore any line with // and know what to do with the tagged lines, then look at your files and know what to do with them based on that info. I'm sure nothing like that exists, but with all the oddly formatted PLR out there that sounds like a $100,000 idea to me.

Someone code that and give me a free copy for making you rich lol.

Tried it. Not too good. It does have some excellent features though! But if you try to upload more than 100-150 articles at a time it freezes forever (at least it was on v3.0), and either this plugin, or feedwordpress corrupted a database twice on a blog I had. Was a disaster, cost me thousands of visitors a day and hundreds of dollars

Plus it takes some formatting, but it is some easy formatting. I guess it's sorta my fallback if all else fails.

Oh well if your making a few $100 every day, then why not invest into getting a coder to fix the bugs of that tool and make your own plugin working perfectly for your needs.

It would not cost more than $100-200 anyways.

You may have to forget plugins, and convert the files by porting the plr into a database or spreadsheet format, then code the site to fetch the number of articles you want each day. The same or a separate code could be employed to randomize the author names fetched with each file.

I was selling wordpress database containing 5K articles scheduled upto 1 year. I was using autoblog samurai for that.
I only kept title and article body. I used a text processor - TextPipe Pro - to remove other stuff from articles. Autoblog samurai takes first line as article title and from second line there goes a full article. I set up everything at my local server and then sold the database dump. Its really easy to setup Wamp at local host and work with wordpress.

that was what I started to do, but figured I would ask, just to make sure I was not missing something simple. All else fails I'm going to.

That's basically what I need to do. Sounds like it would work for me. Do you know if autoblog samurai has any feature to add keywords/tags too? All my articles have them in the file and it would b a shame to not use them.

I keep threatening to see if you can use dreamweaver's find and replace to do the entire collection all at once, but I have yet to try it. I have a few oddball files (obviously with over 1.2mil I'm going to have several thousand oddties) that may not format correctly. I might end up with 10,000 - 20,000 bad articles in such a case...would suck to have them auto uploaded to several dozen blogs

but that's a small problem to fix in the long run I suppose.

edit note: tried dreamweaver, won't work. Basically I can get it to erase a word, like "summary" but I can't tell it to erase the actual summary text so my body text would start on line two. hmmm.....

I believe I have found a solution. Did some basic tests, seemed to work perfectly. I'm going to try it on a larger scale later.

Sometimes I spin, sometimes I don't. Mostly I don't. From some random google searches I've done it seems most of these articles have only been used about 10-15 times...so that's fairly good. I don't worry much about duplicate content on google, most of what you hear is bs IMHO. I did a test where I SEO'ed two sites identicle, one had plr and one had 100% orig. Bost sites did good, with the orig doing slightly better....but not enough to make me want to spin 1.2 million articles, fix all the grammer, and then paste it back into these files.

That being said, show me an uploader that spins perfect english as it posts...or can at least run on the standard title then body format and I'll buy it.

What I was basically suggesting is you go for a custom coding solution instead of a plug-in. Since you have very specific requirements, you need to get a specific script written for you to meet them.

Thank you. Seeing everything I need, I think I'm going to end up getting it just to make things simpler. I found a plugin that lets me post every 1-2 minutes...I can publish 1,000 articles in about a day and a half, so not too bad.

So you were using autoblog samurai to read your text files and create the database on your local host? If I'm going to be as efficient as possible I need to create the database, and then just upload it like that. If I wanted to really make a large site...20,000 articles lets say, it would still take a while with the plugin I have.

I was creating wordpress database with ABS(auto blog samurai). Just import all your plr into autoblog samurai and publish to local wordpress. publishing local was just to save the time. Autoblog samurai do not mean to work locally. Minimum time for scheduling is 1 min while publishing by ABS and so 1440 total articles in 24 hours. but you can create more than one instance ( i dont have proper word, so i am using instance) to publish articles. 2 instance = 2880 total articles in 24 hours. Hope it helps.
