Sure it’s super simple though, put the SIM card in your phone, get the phone number of that sim, and use that number to receive the code on

Not sure if you're understanding me properly, you may have a minimum top up to USE the sim for CALLS or TEXTS, but to receive on, almost no networks require a minimum top up. The only ones that I have found require some topup to activate is GiffGaff, so stay away from that. Otherwise you're good
