Easiest/Safest Way To Boost vBulletin Thread Views?

Hey BHW!

I have a problem perhaps you can help me with. I'm a new entrant into a market that mostly exists online, and I've made a couple new threads on one of the largest sites in the industry about our products. They're superior to everything else out there, the only problem is they have almost no views, which is a vicious self-fulfilling prophecy.

-Will using the same IP refreshing the page a gazillion times actually work?

-Do the admins/mods have a way to view just who precisely which IPs have caused the view count to skyrocket? If not, might a large site have such a modification to prevent this, or does it seem unlikely?

-Basically, in your guys' opinions, how can I increase the view count significantly in the quickest, safest way possible?

In other words, I'll sit at the computer for 10 hours straight refreshing the page if it won't get banned or notice by a moderator. On the other hand, I can be more stealthy if necessary, since I use a VPN that has like 50 servers, and it's very easy for me to switch in and out.

Eh, to the guy who PMed me asking for $25 to teach me to boost vB views, I can't send PMs yet.. I'm not gonna add you on Skype unless I have a lot more info. I posted this more for like, "friendly advice," I didn't think someone would actually charge for it. It just seems like refresh -> refresh -> refresh, or some version of that. I was merely asking what a safe way to go about it is.

Thoughts, anyone?

My suggestion is DON'T pay $25. It's more than likely a scam.

In my experience, no. View from one IP is counted once in 24 hours. But you can try refreshing the page and see what happens.

No. The admins/mods can check which posts were made from which IPs - but not thread views.

Try using VPN but that would mean you will have to change the IP everytime you refresh the page. Can be very hectic. You can try 'sending traffic' to your thread. That MIGHT increase the view count. I can't say for sure because I've never tried it.

You can buy traffic and as well as get them for free. It's bulk crap traffic that doesn't do anything but increasing the page hits. See this for traffic websites.

you can use fake traffic generator tools with proxies (and fake referrers), so you don't need to sit in front of your machine 10 hours/day, however refreshing from the same ip may not work:

if refreshing from the same ip works, then you can do that with firefox + reloadevery addon, so either way, you don't have to sit in front of your computer for hours

it'd be really odd, if a thread would get 10k views and only 1 or 2 answers, so you need to hire posters as well or purchase established accounts with some rep, just in case if members don't post in the thread by their own will, you can also register a few accounts yourself and throw these newbie accounts into the mix (just make sure you don't leave footprints: use different ips, clear cookies/flash cookies between creating and accessing the accounts, use different browsers or fake the user agent and use different passwords)

the staff see everything, so if your thread throws up red flags and they care to look into it, most likely they'll see what you're doing - don't do this on BHW, you'll eventually get caught

there's a different approach though: paying for advertising if it's possible there and you aren't low on budget

Well, i believe the best way to do it would be the following :

You create an index.html page with any block note editor.

you add like 10 to 1000 times according to your internet speed the following code :

You upload the files to any web hosting provider.

Then, you add to firefox a plugin like the following

It will reload your windows each X seconds ...


You launch your index.html script, You go to bed... And you let the script running...
