Most survey CPA offers I’ve tried are way too long and scare users off before they convert. Are there any networks or specific types of surveys that are quick and actually convert well?
adsyncer is completely right. The key is to reduce the number of steps, or what's often called the "flow."
The best converting survey-style offers are almost always one of these types:
- Email/Zip Submits: Literally the easiest flow. User enters their email or zip code and you get credited. These are the bread and butter of simple CPA.
- Single Opt-In (SOI) Sweepstakes: Think "Enter to win a new iPhone" or "Get a $100 Amazon voucher." The user just has to submit their details on one page. Double Opt-In (DOI) offers, where they have to confirm their email, kill conversion rates.
- Short Form Lead Gen: Offers that ask for maybe Name, Email, and Phone. As soon as it asks for address, DOB, and other personal info, the drop-off rate is huge.
Regarding networks, pretty much all major CPA networks have these. The trick is to get in touch with your affiliate manager and specifically ask them for "SOI offers" or "email submits with a simple flow." The best-performing ones are often private and not listed publicly.
One last tip: for higher payout but longer surveys, you can't send cold traffic. You need a pre-lander page to warm up the user and pre-sell them on the offer. This filters out the time-wasters.
