Earnings down by 50% from Jan 1 !!!

As my Youtube earnings (adsense) gone 50% down from Jan 1 to till now! Still holidays in US? The views are doesn't affect, getting same number of views as like December, but the eRPM rate is down by 50%, so as the earnings!!

Anyone having this same issue?

It is normal mate, it will gradually increase and hit pick around march april. This is due to companies work on their advertising strategies at the start of the year.

Advertsing makes the majority of the money in Q3 and Q4 of the year. It's always really bad this time of year.

This happens all the time on first 2 months.
First time I freaked out too, now just got use to it. Keep growing your channel, 4th Quarter will make up for bad CTR and CPC (Mine down from 0.5 to 0.2, ctr down from 18.9 to 7.9).
So hang on and keep working.

Just like Nov/Dec is the best month for a lot of companies Jan/Feb is usually the worst for others. Advertisers usually cut their spending for that period. Fewer advertisers spending $$$ = less competition = lower CPC = lower earnings for adsense publishers.

This depends on your niche. In some niches January is low sales season so the advertising is stepped up.
