You are allowed to add affiliate links in your signature so yes, in theory you can make money by posting on the forum and hoping that people click on your affiliate link. You can't direct people to do this of course, but you can post informative and engaging content on the forum so that your signature gets more exposure.
Please keep in mind that you should not post on the forum purely to promote your signature, but rather you should think about posting quality content first; otherwise you may receive a warning for post count inflation or spam.
Lastly I will say that if you have a service in the marketplace here then your click through rate would likely be better (Less friction for potential buyers) and perhaps if you don't offer services here then it would make sense to promote the services of another member on either an affiliate basis or just for a fixed monthly fee in the form of signature rental; again the conversion for this should be quite high.
I would say that an external affiliate link would be the last resort because the click through rate isn't likely to be as good, due to increased friction. But having said that I am sure its still a viable option.

@NulledCode and a few other members have good services that need attention, and work with affiliates.
Self promotion is not permitted on the forum.
To the OP, you can primarily only earn by selling a product, rendering a service or renting out your signature and all those require you to at least be a Jr.VIP.
But more importantly, while there are opportunities to earn money on the forum being rendering services, the forum is not built for that, it's supposed to be a place to connect, share ideas, learn and teach others.
Correct; you cannot direct people to your signature, or any other property, service or product that you own. This would be considered as self promotion. What you can do, for example, is write engaging content about proxies (In general, without promoting a specific product) and then have an affiliate link in your signature that relates to proxies. that way your signature is relevant to your content, but you are not directly promoting your signature or any service.
