you can run facebook ads, adwords to get real traffic or you can buy traffic from suppliers.

Depends on your niche and the amount of effort you're willing to put in. Reddit is harder to crack than paid facebook advertising imo, because of their strictness when it comes to quality. If you post crap or spam there, you'll get downvoted and you'll get no traffic.
Obviously promoting stuff on Facebook requires either lots of friends, or some money for advertising. Take your pick.
