Can you teach me this business? I want to know what you did. For example, how did you choose a niche for yourself? How many articles have you written? What are the lengths of the articles? Which theme did you use? How did you configure the site?

Write about something you're interested in or the field you work in for a day job. I've worked in paintballing, publishing, education and programming. I'm knowledgable about carpentry, cars, metal work, pets and I watch films. I could write articles on any of these subjects without much effort or research, this makes things much easier, even when hiring writers as you can verify whats been written.

I've got a couple of new sites planned that I'll be building over the next year. So far I've done one focusing on content and links, one focusing on content so I'm tempted to see what I can do with a little site but more links. I'm also interested to experiement with paid ads but I want to do this with a particular type of site. I've also been thinking about a saas but this is in the early stages.

I'm not really in the teaching business anymore but I'm happy to answer questions. I chose the niches based on areas I'm knowledgable, it would probably be more profitable to talk about finance but I don't feel I have the knowledge to write articles on finance.

I've written all 85 of the articles on the smaller site (mostly written during the time saved on commute due to covid lockdowns), the 260 articles on the larger site have come from vendors on the market place, upwork, plus I know a few writers and myself. I'm not sure how many of these I have written but more have come from vendors and upwork.

The smaller site articles average 700 words and the larger site's articles average 500 words.

I use generate press for the theme on the smaller site, the larger site, I wrote a custom design using tailwind.

The smaller site uses a default WordPress install, plus generate press. The larger site uses nodejs with express.

Topics like this really motivate me. But no matter what I did, I was unsuccessful. If you could recommend me a book/blog/course, what would it be? Congratulations
