Hi guys

So I bought an established e-store for $160 two weeks ago. The site isn't getting much traffic at all. Maybe few tens of visitors per month. Seller sold it because he did not want to work on it anymore.

There is more reasons why I bought it. First I like the dropshipping program (I get 30%+ margin) and the niche gets good amount of searches. Think 15k-25k per month. Second, this way I get an aged domain with few good backlinks pointing to it. And mainly, SEO competition is surprisingly weak! No bigger stores and no amazon, ebay etc in top 10. I was fascinated when I first saw it. Based on my experience, I should reach 150-200 UVs per day in 3-6 months from now.

It's my first attempt in the world of e-commerce so I don't know what to expect atm. Let's see. That's actually why I started this thread because I think there is too much PPD/YT journeys and almost no info on building e-store. I hope you can learn something from this journey as well as I will do for sure. Though, I will probably update only once or twice per month as there's not much to say now.

My first steps will be adding content, doing proper on-page and then I will start linkbuilding.

Also I got my first sale today. It's more luck than anything else. I don't expect to get more sales before the site gets to page 1.

That's all for now. Thanks

Wow, you are right, not very many e-commerce journeys. I am excited to see what you do with this site.

Very forward thinking of you to try and find an opportunity that is simply not being executed correctly on. You took into account factors that are not immediately obvious and I think you are very intelligent for that. 100-200 UV a day would be excellent if you can also increase your margins at the same time.

Good Luck I will be following this

Been 15 days, lets hear an update. I agree, more ecommerce related threads.
