Google always demand and give boost to unique and useful article, your duplicate content will not help users to find unique information from your articles, Google or any other search engine will not considered it as good practice. So, you should use unique content for your niche.

Use common sense.

If you need to be asking this, you need to start from scratch as it's such a basic and well talked about aspect of content for websites and penalties.

Google always looks for Quality and unique articles only. Don't use duplicate articles and it will affect your site. Try to use unique articles.

This is exactly how bloggers shoot themselves in the foot.

They leave the full article on the home page and then link to the full article again.
