I actually dont think so man. I can get them to rank on youtube but never google.

I have heard they can rank if you change video file name and file size (and description)

It was a trustful source, but I have not verified

Why not make it unique? Use a uniquifying app.

I have tried to upload exactly the same video twice but the detected it and warn me.
I had to delete one of the videos.
I am not sure what you mean when you say duplicated.

He means if he takes someone else's video an uploads it to his account can he get it to rank?

It isn't hard to make a video unique and it will probably be easier to rank it this way.
