My company just moved states, for some reason Google automatically created a new GMB profile for the company that's based in its new location. Now whenever anyone looks us up that blank profile appears and our already aged, reviewed profile is never shown, essentially making the reviews useless.
In the past we have tried to change the address on the correct GMB and it somehow got flagged as us trying to impersonate another company even though we literally weren't.
Is there a specific best course of action here to get the proper older profile to show now and to remove the new blank profile?
I just claimed the new business, I believe I can merge them or something maybe ? Or can I just go ahead and change the address on the old profile now and not have to worry about impersonation since Google already knows we operate out of this new address I would be setting for it?
