Duplicate Content?

Hello Blackhaters, I would like to ask you one question.
I recently started a website about NFL in my country Slovakia. I have bought domain with .sk suffix. I would like to concentrate on making posts about actual informations, games, draft, and general news. But I would also like to have some static posts about rules, history, fouls, teams rivalries and so on... There lies a problem, there is this one site about american football in my country, which is outdated, but has good articles on rules, history and so on... it is domain with .php5.sk on the end, so my .sk domain has more authority.
I contacted the owner of the other website, and he told me that he would be glad if i used his articles on my website, so I would like to copy them.
What would you suggest please? Just simply copying would cause duplicity problem, and google will not rank my webpage, is it right? Houw should I proceed?

Rewrite the content and add something to it, don't just copy-paste because you are lazy. Also, your domain holds no authority without links pointing to it. Each (sub)domain is independent.

Rewriting would be the best option. If you want to copy paste, you can put a source linking to that site.

Yes they will be duplicate content. They will not get indexed, so you will not rank. Moreover it might hurt site's other content.

of course i would rewrite and expand static basic articles later, but for now, I would like to focus more on news and promote the site on social networks, that is why i am looking for best solution to use articles from the other page (with the owners permission)

in that case you better do not use the duplicate content on your site.

Use best spinner or any other tool.

If you use articles from the other page with or without the owner's permission your website will deindex from google.

Guys, Why are you thinking about copy paste. Just try to unique them. It'll better for your site. Google does not support copy paste article.
