Duplicate content with no issue - google hack?

Hi,

My competitor is using duplicate content on their pbn sites and still ranking on first page.

Their strategy is to copy content from others website and change published date 1 or 2 day before original content and publish on their pbn website.

Is it ok as per google to change publish date before others content and publish on your website without any issue.

There is a huge problem with Google copied content algorthing: it takes the authority of the site rather than the freshness. So if your site has less authority that the page that is copying from you there is only one solution to avoid this: DCMA report.
 
But the content from the original site would be indexed already right? so just copying the same content and republishing it will result in plagiarism.

Here is a pbn site that is doing same.
It is copying content from other site and change the publish date before other site and use. Still ranking content high.

Kinda need some proof on this one.

There is the trick. He is not rewriting the content just copy paste. If someone publish on 8th april he will copy paste and will change the published date to 7th april. With this ranking all his websites.

Check yourself. Mostly content are copy paste from othersites. Only published date changed to one day before original content.
 
There is no such thing as duplicate content. Otherwise all the press distribution and news distribution would be penalized. I have made two sites with no authority with exactly the same content and they both rank 2 places apart.

If you check my message history you will see a pair of messages talking about this topic some months ago.

It is not a huge problem. Just file the report to DCMA and issue solved.
 
google is smarter than that. you really think he's gonna be fooled by a date change? When you send a new content to google, it will analyze it and check if the content was already sent before, if not it will consider it as the original source, everything else will be duplicate content. The problem is that google tends to position the articles on a domain with a high domain rating, even if it considers it as duplicate content it will position it because the authority of the domain pushes it.
