I want to take a video I have on one channel (the video is unlisted) and post PART OF it on another channel (public).

The original video is about 90 minutes long. I want to take 20-30 minutes of it and put a NEW introduction on the video (which would be about a minute long).

Is this 'ok' or would it get it flagged as duplicate content?

I can give advice only to upload this video and wait for the result of a check by a YouTube robot. If this video not part of film of "20th FOX" etc. its must be ok

even if you take the video as is, when adding to another channel it will get a new ID, that's same as new identity, as far as i know it will not be considered as duplicate content as it's not the same file,
but if you also edit the original video and create a shorter version, you really have nothing to worry about

should be no problem but if you want to be sure, just cut 1-2 seconds out.
