Hey BHW,

I was thinking about adding posts with the same content on the same site.

The question is, would someone mark it as "duplicate content" even if it is on the same domain/site?

I haven't found any aanswer at all regarding this and this would be quite intersting.

Even comments are great to listen! :D

I don't quite understand what you're trying to do?

Why bother. The search engines are not stupid. Posting duplicate content on your site will devalue your site. If that is your intent, go right ahead.

Sry it was a noobish question. Just got that question and wanted to ask it. That's all.

Having duplicate post across your site is worse than copying content from another site.
You have to be careful :)

If the article is spun and unique, then the 2 article wouldn't be duplicates right?

i see, but what about spun content on same site?

Spun content is good, just make sure its unique(90%+ spun) and human readable.
Also noindex tags archive and author pages, so all your pages have to be unique content.
*unique content doesnt mean original content, it can be spun/rewritten.
:)

Yes i agree with you, I am a SEO Executive and i am also sometimes use Spun content for my work. and i think it is a good. so i suggest not post duplicate content you use spun content instead of it.

So Mr SEO Executive, would you be so kind to share your knowledge with us all?

But wha about making another blog on the same niche?

Lets say on blog 1 I have a "how to lose weight" article, and on blog2 I have a spun version of the original article. Would still be penalised?

If not, then it's a great way to build backlinks, grow your sites, etc.

What are your opinions about this?
