Duplicate Content - Need Advice

Hi,

I own an online shop with 600 products listed at the moment, with only unique content, but now I will import 30k new products from our supplier trough CSV.

This will be duplicate content, because a lot of web stores already uses this.

Do you think I get in troubles because of this?

Never ever use any sort of duplicate content if you love your website.It may cause great harm.Use original content.
 
Duplicate content generally refers to substantive blocks of content within or across domains that either completely match other content or are appreciably similar. Mostly, this is not deceptive in origin. Examples of non-malicious duplicate content could include:

Discussion forums that can generate both regular and stripped-down pages targeted at mobile devices
Store items shown or linked via multiple distinct URLs
Printer-only versions of web pages

It's gonna hurt your SERP if you use duplicate content. You can try spinning it.
 
The problem is I have 30k of unique products... I would need months to get unique content for all of them
 
just add them. Since its ecommerce, it wont do much hard I think. How many different product description u can write for a single product? Even though you write unique, it will look like spun content because so many people used same words. If I were you I'd use it. But I wont add 30k products suddenly, I will spread it over in one to two months
 
Why don't you spin them or get them rewritten? Spun content is relatively better than outright copies. You have 600 products currently and are planning to have 30k more...that is 50 times more content than you currently have! If you use dup content for this entire lot of 30k, you'll end up compromising the quality of your site. Spin them or rewrite. It is definitely worth the time. In any case, you are not going to add all the products at a time, right?

It's Impossible to spinn all this content? If I would do this, I guess I would need 3 - 5 months and in this time a lot of this products would be out of stock or not available anymore, I need to update the site with new products every 2 - 3 weeks.
I hope you know what I mean
 
There are many sites who use product data feeds from merchants and they get indexed. I have a blog setup with 100% duplicated content. Every single post is pulled from Amazon and they all get listed.
However you won't get ranked with duplicate content. The 30k duplicate content will not get ranked and once you add those 30k products, your site will have more duplicate content than original which may slighly hurt yur ranking.

An easy solution would be to add "noindex" tag to all the duplicate content. That way you are telling google not to look at those pages and issue any penalty based on the content of those pages.
 
Use copyscape checker to come out from the problem of duplicate content....:birthday:
 
If you have some real contents then duplicate content may loos the apple of your real contents, I recommend you not to use duplicate; but if you are really able to supply the clients those contents from your stock then you can do this and even you can let them know about this.
 
Yes Google always search some new content and concept. Duplicate content must be rejected by Google.
 
I wouldn't listen to most of these people to be honest (loads of them haven't even read the question lol).
If what they said was true, shops would be UNABLE to rank for anything.
Just slap some stuff on the google shops, and possibly do a batch resize on the pictures or something like that :)
=====> Just be smart about it, if you have products on that list that are high converters, or expensive products, rewrite their copy! No point going through and spinning 30k sales items!

Forward them to cheap workers that will make the data entry job for you, you can get them for 75$ a week and that's really cheap for this type of content.

I had a product site once, we did all the work manually and it was a pain in the ass, if I knew then that I could outsource that work to cheap labor I would made some proper money..
