Right now I'm using hxxp://duplichecker.com/index.asp to check my articles for duplicate content. Its not that much work. I just copy and paste and scan through the results to see if anything is copied. The problem is I usually do this with like 50 articles and it takes a minute or two for each article. Is there a program that you can just load raw txt files into to check for uniqueness?

Im also using Danny Relic's Mass Submitter to format and submit my articles. It's pretty gravy once i check everything and format the articles, but on average it is taking me like 2-3 minutes per article which adds up with the number of articles I have.

I guess I'm just getting lazy, but I would really like to automate this as much as possible. I have a reliable source of unique articles (or at least around 95% unique, occasionally someone will give me an ezine or something) that are netting me around $3.50 each, but I havent submitted anything in a week just because I dont feel like sort through all my raw articles.

Any ideas to further automate this would be appreciated. Reply in this thread with your ideas. I know I could outsource this to someone, but I don't know if I can trust someone to do this.

I did try many different duplicated content checkers and duplichecker is the one that gave me the easiest and most accurate results.

You could find many more free tools by writing "duplicated content checker" on google though..

I would think of outsourcing the writing process, but I'm not sure if I'd ever consider doing the same with checking articles for plagiarism/duplicate content. Laziness can hit anyone, even those guys to whom we outsource. It's beyond our control. And when that happens, the integrity of my articles is compromised. So, I'd rather shake off my own laziness and do the plagiarism/duplicate content checking part myself.

I find it highly effective to make use of multiple plagiarism/duplicate content checkers, as experience has taught me that what passes as unique with one checker at times fails when run through another. In my case, I use 4 web-based checkers, Dupefree Pro, and Viper. I don't mind the overkill as long as I'm left worry-free. :)
 
Ya, i got motivated over the weekend and spent the two hours checking about 50 articles. Not really that much work, but Im always trying to make things easier.
 
Copyscape does the same thing but its limited as you can't check it more than 5 times i think.
 
Id go with copyscape, they have a new feature called batch search, try that out.

Should help you out to an extent!
 
If you're doing rewriting you really can't beat DupeFreePRO, throw the original in the left pane and the rewrite on the right, hit Compare and you're good to go. As long as it's at least 85% unique you'll have no worries. I've got just over 1,300 articles on AC and have yet to have one declined for dupe content with this method.

Works like a charm
 
I am using copyscape from over 3 years. I never had any problem with that.

What you need to take care of while using DupeFree pro is that you dont have more then 3 words common in the rewritten article.

Copyscape will catch articles if more then 3 words are copied together, so make sure when you check using DupeFree, you take care of that 4th word. And then you'll be safe :)
 
Thank you so much, everyone, for help with this! I've been writing for associated content (the "white-hat" way) for a long time, and wanted to figure out a way to start doing re-writes, to get more content, without getting bopped for plagiarism. This is really going to help me make some real money...
 
If anyone has any suggestions as to how I should do it, I'd be glad to write a program to do this for everyone.

I had also used plagiarismdetect in the past, but I am now using CopyScape as it is what my clients require from me. The service is pretty cheap, too, as I can bunch several articles in a single run.

and at least for my purposes does everything CopyScape Premium does. Automated checking of your sites, Paste in text to check etc.. It's an awesome piece of software.

Now that DupeFreePRO's online checker isn't working (until they release v2) one can use this instead and in fact it's far superior to DFP v1's Online Check. Like I was saying it's basically CS Premium, but uses your own computer & internet connection to do the biz.

My best one is copyscape, just paid 0,05 per check for premium account.
