Duplicate content affect SEO or not?

you can always test it out but I would not waste the time with it I would go 100% new content

Duplicate content confuses Google and forces the search engine to choose which of the identical pages it should rank in the top results. Regardless of who produced the content, there is a high possibility that the original page will not be the one chosen for the top search results.

It affects SEO to the extent that (1) duplicate content will hardly position well, therefore it will not bring traffic (another thing is that you want that content because it converts well, for example, but you will probably have to find another source of traffic that does not be the SEO to bring visits to that page); (2) you are asking the spiders to crawl pages that probably won't rank, thereby wasting crawling resources.
 
Based on my experience, I don’t think it’s an issue. I’ve ranked multiple parasites without unique content :rolleyes:

nope, The one with more authority will rank, and the other will not.
 
Officially, Google does not enforce a duplicate content penalty. It does, however, filter similar content that has the same effect as a penalty: a loss of your web pages' rankings.
 
Duplicate content doesn’t affect SEO but it needs to be rewrite and the anchor words may be leave without rewriting it,but if needed it can all be re-edited
 
Yes duplicate contents affect seo but in other ways it doesn’t affect if the copied article is rewrite and pass copyscape it does no affection.

So you are saying that you can rank a duplicate page in 90 days? Then please rank a Facebook duplicate page for me which should have the same content exactly as Facebook. :)
 
yes, it affects your SEO because google won't know which one of your duplicate pages to rank in the SERPS
