you clearly don't understand PoW mining compared to PoS governance. Bitcoin is the last chance at having a decentralized asset on Earth. ETH is becoming nothing more than a centralized tradfi product.

I completely understand why PoW is good. I just don't understand why PoS is centralized.

The Merge = ETH dump.
But later in the future, if ETH ever gets to flip BTC I think it will only be temporary bc eth can't scale and also PoS will fail at some point.

ETH on POS pays like "dividends" to those who hold the most ETH, so a huge benefit to early people especially those who benefitted from the ETH 60-70% premine.
POW pays whoever works for it, all on a fair playing field.
There are other reasons why POS is centralized, validators and such. Nothing can beat the fairness of POW especially when the creator didn't use/keep his share to benefit himself AND he disappeared forever.
Bitcoin FTW again. I believe this "ETH Merge" is a bs way to try pumping it, but really fundamentally it weakens ETH more than ever.

Well people are learning centralized cryptocurrencies are not a good thing. They are part of traditional finance. Bitcoin is the only decentralized one, PoW is the only chance at anything being decentralized.

Exactly. Solana is also a good example why centralized cryptocurrencies are bad.
PoW is more secure than PoS, and the Bitcoin Blockchain is by far the most secure PoW Network (especially after Ethereum moved to PoS) with the greatest hashing requirements.
@OP I wouldn't sell Bitcoin to buy Ethereum. BTC has the largest amount of institutional adoption, which gives it much more legitimacy than other cryptocurrencies, as well as more use-cases involving larger transactions.
