Dummies guide to Black Hat SEO

As you can see i'm kind of new round here. So far i have found this place is very informative, but sometimes it can be very confusing with the abbreviations used, so as a newbie one can get lost in the threads.

To get started in Black/White hat SEO to get a good ranking in google for a money site, what would you guys recommend with a minimal outlay on funds.

Please try to explain it in laymans terms if possible please, as a lot of the stuff i don't understand yet.
