Dude got scammed by "Fixed Match"?

Ok so the other day one of my guys came telling me that he is going to get rich within 24 hours and quit the job.
I asked what happened and how and the dude was so happy and didn't even answer.

Well, 24 hours later I expected him to actually come and tell me he won't work anymore with me but at real he came telling me he wants me to borrow him money for buying info about some sort of corrupted match.
In my line of experience I have never heard of something like this.

I searched for a while and saw a few websites too.

Any of you guys know what this is?

I am pretty sure this is spam cuz its just not possible to corrupt a match, even if you would know it why the hell would you sell it?

BTW - The dude paid 1000$

You see the group's on Facebook all the time. Plenty of fucking morons who fall for it.

They possibly have thousands of accounts to like a comment on their shitty pages. Because they always seem positive, but you can be sure some mug somewhere is getting stung.

Yeah all these clowns with inside betting info, yet they feel the need to be on Facebook desperate for signups, when they could just put a huge accumulator on, and be living it up. Instead they look like they live in bedsits with a bird that looks like the Honey Monster.
 
I saw the guy's profile, he had money pictures and shit like that (I mean maybe 200.000$ in a single pic) like wtf bro and you sell it for 1000$?
What I was not able to understand was that they had some legit betting tickets, (betting 1000$ winning 30.000$).... like wtf is going on around here?
In one hour searching I found +100 websites and accounts advertising fixed match.

Are the people so stupid to fall for this crap?
 
Original betting tickets are easily faked, along with play money that you can buy off the internet. You'd have to be daft as fuck to be taken in by these "too good to be true" schemes.

LOL... yes there certainly are fixed matches but it is unlikely you or I will know about them. The way it usually works is they
- Sell result A to 50% and result B to the other 50%, rinse and repeat ...
 
In fairness this is big business in asia. They dont necessarily fix the result but events in it.

For example you can bet on when there is a throw in during a soccer game in league 3. Or a no ball bowled in cricket. Thats the shit they can rig and bet on.

There was a guy last year in the UK, who was offering correct score fixed results, so Team A wins 3;2 at full time and the odds for these types of scorelines are usually 25/1 and up.
He was placing £500 bets and there were 1 or 2 of these a week.

All the proof was there, the betting slip, details covered until you paid and he then revealed who to bet on.

Then the screenshots of the winning bet slip.

Weird is every single slip was from the same Ladbrokes betting shop in the city. Now I was once limited at a labrokes over the Royal Ascot a few years back, had a £10 double which won at combines odds of 21/1 approx so stuck £50 on a horse in the next race which won at 8/1. Stood in the shop, watched it win then at the counter collected my winnings to be informed in future I'd be allowed £10 bets.



Yes match fixing happens, the people involved aren't on FB. Another interesting market is the lower tier italian leagues at the end of the season, 10 years back it was rife. Bookies in the UK started palping bets on those games in the correct scores , HT/FT markets.
 
Match fixing is indeed possible, but on a much, much greater scale than this. Nobody seriously fixing a match will sell for a grand, we're talking millions here because the risk is just too big and usually a lot of people are involved.

What you're takling about is scam in its purest form though, and I've seen it first hand. Back when Facebook wasn't so strict with ads there were people making fake winning slips/tickets, uploading them on a FB page, boosting the post and the sheep just kept coming in. They had a massive ROI as well, for example - they invest $30 for boosting the post and get ~$1,000 in return, IN A WEEKEND.

Tell your friend to stay away as far as possible, please.

The betting firm that offered odds on former Sutton reserve goalkeeper Wayne Shaw eating a pie on camera during an FA Cup match has been fined £84,000.

The Gambling Commission said Tabcorp UK Limited, trading as Sun Bets, failed to properly manage the risks associated with offering 'novelty' bets.

It also became apparent Tabcorp allowed more than 100 self-excluded customers to open duplicate accounts and gamble.

Tabcorp has had its licence to offer gambling in Britain reviewed.

What happened?
Shaw was shown eating a pie while standing by the substitutes' bench during Sutton's FA Cup fifth-round match against Arsenal last season.

Sun Bets, which sponsored the match, tweeted it had paid out a "five-figure sum" as that was one of its 'novelty' bets.

Shaw, 46, was investigated by the Football Association for potentially breaching betting rules and subsequently resigned from the Surrey-based non-league outfit
 
Fixed games are always played LIVE and never before game.
Who offer fixed prematch game its 100% scammer.
 
Your all looking at it as if it has to be a big fix like the world series, thats not how it is done now.

As i said in an earlier post, money is made by fixing events in the game not the actual result.

You can bet on anything, so paying a guy to bowl a no ball in the third over of a cricket match might cost you $1000 but you can lay bets of hundreds of thousands that it happens.

I have a friend who is a professional sportsman but in lower leagues if i paid him $1000 to manufacture a minor event that didnt effect the result i think he would do it, because in lower leagues thats kind of what they earn a week.

Come to think if it i might go and ask him...

Checked this results out of curiousity, some of them are giving odd 30 for 50-100$ or so. That's crazy, like how stupid can people be?
Buying a corrupted match where you can win 30 times more then the original bet for just 100$? That means for 50$ I can be a millionaire within 1 week.

I know, it is crazy. Guess, some of these people are just stupid, greedy and desperate.
Seems like it could be easy money to take advantage of them, if one was so inclined.

Only if you're using different bookies for each bet, as you'll get gubbed quickly otherwise.
